When a "small business owner" gets a Taxpayer-guaranteed loan to pay a franchise fee, and then goes out of...? ...and then goes out of business, is the Franchise company obligated to pay back the loan? "According to a Wall Street Journal article by Richard Gibson, the number of SBA-backed loan defaults by franchisees increased 52% in the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2008, from fiscal 2007. Loan losses totaled $93.3 million, a 167% jump from $35 million just 12 months earlier. Quiznos Sub had the highest number of loan defaults, with 108 franchisee failures. Cold Stone Creamery franchises racked up 75 defaults, followed by the Subway franchise with 42 defaults and Curves for Women with 24. By percentage of defaults to total loans, meal prep kitchen Dream Dinners had the highest, with 18% of franchisees having defaulted thus far. Next worse were Taco del Mar and Carvel, with 15.49% and 15.38% defaults, and Cold Stone Creamery with 9.82%...." http://www.bizzia.com/franchisepick/quiznos-cold-stone-subway-curves-top-franchise-loan-defaults/ (((Liberalism is for Sucks))): Do you have a reference? Is it illegal to use a business's logo when they donate to your non-profit? I am receiving donations for a fundraising event from various local businesses and franchises. I am going to make a booklet exhibiting each donation and I wanted to put the patrons business logo on the page. Is this legal? For instance, Chili's Restaurant made a donation, can I put the logo at the top of the page??
Do the Phillies realize they are members of MAJOR League Baseball? It all starts from the top. The ownership of this franchise is so stubborn and inept that it's no wonder that the team on the field backs into the results that come from operating on the cheep. Lieberthal, Burrell, Abreu, Bell, and the most undiscipline batter in the world, Rollins need to go. But the point I'm trying to make is that the organization is in the business of making money on the sale of baseball tickets and that's it. I wish Steinbrenner owned this team. Your thoughts please. Thank you. P.S. To Edgecution: If you want to call someone an idiot, have some backbone and enable your I.M. or e-mail.
ebay is a rip off? If ebaaaa is that good then why did they fail to in form me of international selling methods when I told them thats why I am listing on your site in the first place ??not just listed on your local countrys site ,youhave to go through so much hassel to get on other country listings that I gave up,and on top of that the product I am trying to sell seems to get pushed so far down there list`s due to the big companys who just put in 100 or more of there products and take all the prime list sites ie.the first 5 pages and can afford the list fees,I had 14 products and sold 2 in just 4 weeks worth of listing !..its a scam arrangement between ebaaa and large shop franchise business they both get a big slice of the pie ,hey I beleive in fair trade yes!but not monopoly business tactics who push out small home businesses ,I thought ebaaa was set up to give the small guy a go!so its back to the local sunday markets for me and low stall rates for the day and happy to sell 4 0r 5 items for the day.
What do you know about franchises? Looking to invest, work and own my own franchise busineses, maybe in the food servise business. I'm taking an early retirement at 50 this year. I have 30 years of upper level sales management experience, dealing in CSI and ROI!! As a Director of sales and marketing for top consumer electronic company. I get well over a million. And have another million in net assets. I like people, sales and cooking, so what should I do and what is the projected lifestyle and income going to be like? Got any inside info on any franchises, especially in the food industry? Or where and how I can find out? Like Blogs, experts or websites.
Law School or Start a Business? I'm thinking seriously about law school but haven't taken the LSAT yet so I don't even know where I'd fit in. I've told myself that if I scored at least 160 - 165 that I would try to get into a tier 1 or tier 2 law school. My GPA is only 3.3 so top 20 seems out of the question. But I do have some huge concerns about law school. The availability of jobs, debt, and time commitment - in that order. I hear that many JD's just go on to business anyway and don't practice law. I was a History major during undergrad so I have interest in and the capacity for heavy reading, writing, etc. But I also have a huge interest in business. Question is: Would it be better to spend my energy into a start up or maybe even a franchise business or take on law school? I was a claims adjuster for 4 years so I dealt with attorneys a lot for bodily injury claims. Not the most awesome job but it could be worse. I know law school debt is crushing, but I don't have the means or background to get a large enough business loan to start something in earnest. Still thinking on this, don't want to make a rash decision.
Domino's commercial showing a heartless company? In the new commercial where the manager disagrees with the CEO, the manager clearly states how the pizzas are too cheap. To me this commercial tells me that the guys at the top are only concerned with their sales figures versus keeping the franchise owners in business. I mean, the guy even states how he's worked for years in dominos and how he "bleeds for the company". Only to be undermined by the CEO and sell under-priced pizzas. I'm not hating on the deal I just want to see what everyone else thinks about this.

why do the bengles suck? Paul Brown was one of the all time best coaches. His records speak for him. He started this franchise with the hope of building a team like he had in Cleveland and further establishing his legacy. His son has managed to make this franchise laughable. He only understands business not football. If he had any feeling for the game this team would have been on top a long time ago. I was a fan, but I've lost interest. No future in it.

Who here agrees that the "MLB Revenue Sharing" should be scrapped? A team that invests into winning shoudn't be punished for it. Every owner of the teams are billionaires and thus have every opportunity to invest and build a winning franchise. Most however, do not and only invest in the businesses that made them billionaires. The Steinbrenners are the only exception.. Now some will argue it will only makes things more fair but the truth is that there is hatred towards any team that wins championships even when there are salary caps. The Lakers in basketball are a hated team as well as the Steelers for football. Some will argue that this view is elitist but sports are supposed to be competitive and the best is always supposed to come out on top. If you don't like this, then stop watching or playing sports. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qymWykEhwow I agree that the government should stay out of the baseball. That bailout money is unfair.

Does this letter sound good? (Criticize please! :))? Out of all the franchise's I researched (A&W, Reid's Dairy, Dairy Queen) I think it would be best to invest in A&W. I think this is the best way to go for many reasons. The number one reason is that I think in the next year or so A&W will start to make more money. I believe this, as right now the economy is going down hill, and because of this more and more people are eating out at fast food places as they are cheap. I also would like to invest in this franchise because it is Canadian owned, which means a lot to me as I am from Canada. I don't think it would be right to invest in a American franchise, as since I am Canadian I would like to support one of our own franchises. Right now A&W is Canada's second largest hamburger chain, and has over 680 restaurants and is currently thriving. In the past six years it has even been recongnized as one of Canada's 50 Best Managed Companies, which is a national awards program sponsored by Deloitte, CIBC Commercial Banking, National Post, and Queen's School of Business. The A&W franchise is said to have one of the industry’s most experienced senior and regional management teams. Investing in A&W is also one of the cheapest franchises's (out of the ones I looked at anyway) to invest in, costing $50,000 for a 20 year term. On top of that you get 5-6% of royalties, which is the highest amount of royalties out of all three franchises I looked at. Personally I think t that A&W is the best choice for me to invest in, and the franchise that I would feel most comfortable supporting. I know someone who invests in root beer floats, and their franchise will only use A&W root beer. So if all else fails, at least you get the discount on root beer!
Texas Work Force Commission (TWC) & a False Wage Claim.? Hello Forum - I would appreciate any "helpful comments" you might be able to offer me concerning a situation I am currently dealing with. I had owned a rather short-lived restaurant in the Dallas, Texas area during 2008/2009. I hired a consultant, who turned out to be a fraud. He did not have the experience he claimed to have had, put together a fraudulent Franchise agreement and to top it off, I later learned he had other money judgements against him for the exact same thing in another state. Note that I paid him extremely well. Since my firing of the said consultant, his daughter has now contacted the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) and has made a wage claim against my FORMER company. (I am now out of business, have let my corporate filings in the State of Delaware slide and do not plan on renewing them- I am done and broke.) She states that we owe her $3,800. for past wages. I received correspondence from a Labor Law Investigator two-three months ago stating that claim of owed money and I wrote the Labor Law Investigator back and said, "that the claim against us was false and was meant to cause harm to innocent and hard working people" in-addition to the underlined comments below. A short time had passed and tonight I received a letter from the TWC called, "Notice of Texas Payday Law Hearing." I have a phone hearing scheduled next month at noon-time, in which I am to call in and I presume to decide the final outcome of this ridiculous ordeal. The "Daughters" involvement in my business was this: She was never a hired employee of our company, contracted by us, or promised any wage for any work or service preformed. "The daughter" came into the restaurant for a short time and "helped her dad out." She was there and did in-fact work, but it was to help out her father for his obvious short comings, ie., create manuals that supposedly went with the "Franchise, train employees with "their methods and procedures" and assist some in the kitchen. Again, I never hired her, promised her anything, never had her fill out an I-9, w4, never reported her on our Employer's Quarterly Report, which was filed to the TWC. I've learned my expensive lesson, now what do I do to make this go away? Thank you.
What do you think....? I had a crappy unbringing (putting it mildly) and so did my partner. We were both lost, alone and bearing many scars when we met each other. We bonded instantly and have lived together for two years. We spend virtually every instant together and we love it. We work together, we do everything together. Our love and life together is our top priority. Everything that we do is to be together. We work to get enough money to get by, but it is not a priorty. It doesnt matter what i am doing....bookwork, cleaning or anything, I am thinking of what I can do to make him happy. He would do anything for me. We are the meaning of each others lives. BUT...I constantly keep getting attacked by people who say I am wasting my life, I am not ambitious enough. I keep getting told to get a Uni degree, get a career. We get told to expand our business, open franchises, make more money, do this do that. I am sick of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So what is your opinion
Less than a month until school. Should I drop out? I am going to be a sophomore. Let me provide details... I got a 3.83 first year as an undeclared student. I am going to major in business simply for the potential of the major. Even though I know I'm going to hate it, I'm still in for business. I am considering dropping out because... 1. I had no friends or social life last year. Work and schoolwork destroyed me... 2. I figure I don't need 4 years of debt (though I AM getting a lot of financial assistance) to know business. All school is reading books, right? I can read those books and do more during my proposed alternative to school, which is... The Military. I figure, hey, go in as something important like cryptologic linguist and get great training, learn a language, get a top secret clearance, and work for an agency perhaps afterwards. I also figure that with the money I would make in my 4ish years in (mind you saving every last friggin penny) I could even make a business venture afterwards. I am thinking stocks or franchising a popular business. I WANT to like school, the motivation just isn't there. I was motivated most of last year and that's why I did well, but towards the end I felt like I do now, completely and utterly unmotivated to do school for 1 more year, let alone the 3 I have left. I know this motivation will cause me to not study as I should, as I did at the end of last year. Also, I really want to major in something else (even though I really have no clue what), but the career options don't seem there for me for anything I'm remotely interested in. (Anthropology, History, Political Science, something Health related but not Nursing). I need to make a decision before the month is up. I need to convince myself to stay in school or drop out and join the military. What do you think and what are you opinions? Thanks to all who reply
Why is franchising bad? Its often put in the 'top 10 signs of mcdojoism' by many articles. But why? Expanding is a natural thing for a business, is it not? A lot of everyday businesses like Dymocks, Intercontinential Hotel, ToysRUs, Nike, Woolworth are all franchises and we don't claim them as 'ripoffs', rather, we still purchase from them frequently as we need the items they offer. I am appreciative that my brazilian jiu jitsu dojo is non profit and, at the end of the month, the way the instructors of our club list all our expenses and how the money is allocated to which section is honest, but they only do it as a side job. They all have day jobs (e.g. one of the best teachers, Taki, who holds a 3rd degree judo black belt holder and brown belt brazilian jiu jitsu, actually works as a hotel manager). If I were to grow up and do it full time, then I would need some money to get by. Where else am I going to get money to pay my utility bills, rent and food? Making money off customers is neccessary if the employee is only employed in that particular business, in my opinion. When a business is so successful that it can open up a second shop, thats a good thing. It means the original instructor is knowledgable at martial arts and is wanting to spread out to teach it to more people. Sure, I know that some shrewed business people then gets an underaged and unqualified teacher to instruct, but for those instructors who jump between the two places teaching or else put a good legit martial artist there, there is nothing wrong. As long as the head instructor keeps on monitoring and check on a frequent basis that the lower ranking teacher's teaching quality and martial arts ablity is good, then there should be no problem. I don't think that all martial arts franchises are bad, agree?
Frozen Yogurt Mix-In Provider Needed!!? My parents and I are looking into opening up a Frozen Yogurt business in the NY Tri-State area and was wondering if there are high quality frozen yogurt mix-in providers that will ship. The business will be privately owned and not a franchise. If anyone has any experience with frozen yogurt, please help!! Would love any recommendations for equipment that can be used for refrigeration, as well as a counter-top coolers that will keep toppings cool/chilled.
im a manager on salary. my schedule says 60 hrs, but i work 80. can i get paid overtime? I work for a corp franchise who are known for shady business. However our district mgr gets wild hairs up his ass whenever he feels like it and makes us work 6-7 days!! And on top of that makes us use our personal vehicles to make bank runs 45mins on the other side of town without compensation on gas. I recently got a ticket for speeding because he called to tell me to hurry up. I asked if i could get compensated for the gas and he looked at me like I just asked him for a raise. I only am supposed 60hrs a week. I work 80+ a week. can he make us work that way with no overtime. We dont receive any benefits at all and he refuses to give us our vacation.
I am depressed out family is losing business? My family and I own a ice cream and coffee shop in a small town. We serve ice cream, frozen yogurt, smoothies, coffee and a lot of other things. During the summer we are usually very busy, except that recently a yogurt place opened up a couple blocks down and now we lost most of our business. At this time last week it was really busy at our store but nobody comes to our store anymore. The place just opened yesterday and it's already packed with customers. It makes me depressed that everyone has left our shop which has been here for over 20 years, to support a big franchise store. We try so hard to make our customers happy, we give generous portions, we have good prices, so I don't know what other businesses have that we don't. But no matter what we do, people always say negative things about us or are rude to us if we don't have a flavor or topping that they want, and they write bad reviews about us online saying our ice cream is yucky and make us look bad. It seems like nobody really supports small businesses anymore. What can we do to improve our business and make our customers happy
Can i write that i own a business on my UPenn college essay? Well, my uncle who lives near me owns a 7 eleven franchise. I work there part time... I want to go to Wharton. Liberals, do you agree with this statement? I had a liberal tell me, "If companies would pay people what they are worth than we wouldn't need an intrusive Government or welfare" If so, who dictates what someone is worth? You, the government, the employer or the employee? I cant figure you guys out. You bitch and moan when a hamburger flipper makes 15,000 a year, than you'll bitch when that same hamburger flipper becomes a franchise owner and makes 500,000 a year. To top that off, you'll bitch that when the hamburger flipper gets paid what you think is *fair* and the hamburger prices have gone up from $3 to $5 in order to pay that person. You'll complain how you can't buy as many hamburgers so you go to your employer and cry foul. So who dictates what someone is worth? I say it is the employee who dictates what he is worth. Nobody tells you that you must stay at your job if you don't make what you want. If you want more you must grow yourself and make yourself more valuable to the company you want to work for. Or, start up your own business. David, You seriously think the constitution allows for people to tell a *private business* what they should do with Their (private property) money? Never once did I dictate what a person should make. I said if that person does not feel they make enough than it is in their hands to dictate what they make. You have a choice to tell your employer you want more or you will walk and work for the competition. Simple as that. Now where did I dictate, david?
How do I know if my employer is stringing me along? My husband is a manager/salesperson in his career with a corporation 44 locations strong. Within this company my husband is rated top of two salesmen/managers in profit and has been for 7 years. He is truly a wonder within his profession which is Auto Service adviser/manager and is really a diamond in the rough in his profession. He's been gloated on for years by the corporation itself which is a franchise corporation and therefore has many owners but is known by all of them and sought after. This is what I mean...He worked for the company for two years and was fired during a rough time in his bosses personal life and therefore the boss was sorry and begged him back for a year and a half with a hefty raise. Sales were slowly depleting while he was gone and when he agreed to go back, sales steadily increased. The owner of the store didn't want to be a franchise owner anymore and decided not to pay the fees and therefore forfeited his business lawsuits and all. The master franchiser took my husband into one of his companies after the president of the whole corp. called him and recommended he hire my husband. When he took over, the business was failing. My husband doubled profits two years in a row but knew the owner was selling it when he took over. The year after he was there the owner said it was "off the market" because he was doing so well. This is where it gets confusing....My husband doubled sales this second year and seems only made this business look more appetizing to potential buyers and sold this out from under my husband two weeks ago asking him to stay and train the new owners. Everyone else kept their jobs but him. The franchise manager told my husband he didn't want him to be working for the competitor and therefore had many different offers available to him withing the corporation. The first couple were laughable with salary but the last one seems great. You know the saying "if it's too good to be true"? This is what I'm wondering here. He interviewed with another owner who owns several locations and he told my husband he wanted to take over the original place of employment and include my husband as a %50 owner and they agreed it was a done deal if the person currently running it would agree because he's doing things that only results in another drug out court case if he doesn't agree. I'm wondering if it would be reasonable to think they would be just stringing him along to train the new owners because it seems to good to be true or if this is not something a corporation would do? They are good reputable company and have been great to my husband. He knows he's the best of the best because they've kept very accurate numbers and graphs for all of the corporation to see and everyone in the company even the marketing dept. ( I worked for the marketing dept.) knows my husband and their worst fear seemed to be him leaving but I'm just not sure if it's because the deal was happening or if they really want to replace him. I hope I was able articulate this situation to you all because I know it gets confusing but we have 5 kids and are so worried about our financial well-being. I can't see them stringing us along to that degree even if it benefits one new owner of this corporation. Does anyone have any advice on what he should do in the meantime? Does this sound too good to be true? Would a corporation go this far to hide their own gain? Do you think they'd let go of their proven top salesman? He's not arrogant and does a great job in all other areas too and gets along great w/the president who got him the job w/the master franchiser. They've followed my husband for years keeping him with them. Thanks for the advice you may have. The issue is that they are just "talking" right now and nothing is set in stone and until that time, he's unemployed. I'm worried about sitting around and waiting and not at least having a back-up plan. They seem like they honestly find him of great value but it's all been done behind his back that is scary. They told him they were selling so he knew it was a possibility but why when they told him they changed their minds didn't they tell him the second time around? Maybe they were afraid he'd freak and walk but they do know he's always wanted to be an owner and said that they believe he's one of the only ones who can ensure the success of this peticular store but what about in the mean-time?

Should I Finish College or pursue my career? A few years ago I got suspended from college for poor academic performance. While I was suspended I got a job at a magic shop. The owner of the shop is a great business man and under his mentorship I went from a cashier, to a top magician (salesman) to a manager and trainer and even opened my own franchise at the flea market (I had opportunities for better locations but I chose the flea market so it would not interfere with school). Now I have relocated to a small town 2 hours away from where I live. The owner pays for my apt and pays me about $23,000 a year. It seems the longer I stay with the company the more my income increases. He has future plans with would double my income in the next 2 years, or I can go to any major city I choose and open my own franchise. My family however refuses to accept magic as any type of serious career. They are putting tremendous pressure on me to finish school and go to law school. They don't seem to understand that getting into law school is not guaranteed for me..since my first 2 years of college were rocky. I do have a chance if I bring my GPA up and the last 2 semesters for me have been great. So now I have the hardest choice I've ever had to make. Do I stick to my career? I make enough money for myself to live a good life, although I would like to make at least $80,000 by the time im 30 (im 24 now). OR do I quit my job and go back to school full time and try my very best to get into law school? I will have to move back in with my mom (blahh) and have almost no money. On the upside Ill get to complety focus on school and Ill be able to graduate within 3 semesters, and hopefully get into law school. I'm so torn in this decision, mainly becuase neither path is gauranteed. If I dont get into law school I will have a degree in legal studies, but that seems kinda useless to me. If I stick with the company then I'm at the mercy of the owner, who can fire me on a whim (unlikely, but possible) and Ill have nothing. I have been going to school part time, however I really wanted to go back full time, so I arranged my schedule so that I work 4 days a week and go to school 3 days a week. I signed up for 12 credit hours but I had to drop 2 classes becuase it was too much work and I couldnt keep up. If I decide to go back to school I would work maybe 1 or 2 days and take 15 credit hours a semester.

best pure starting point guard: best to worst? by pure, i eliminate combo guards like dwyane wade, allen iverson, jason terry. these guys play strictly point guard throughout their careers. 1. chris paul: should be the mvp. hornets have no depth and have no business playing at an elite level, yet they are. 2. steve nash: 2 time mvp. career accomplishment speaks for themselves 3. jason kidd: no matter what the naysayers say. hes still a triple double machie with solid defense and unparalleled court vision 4. gilbert arenas: just look at how bad the wiz are struggling without him 5. chauncey billups: he's a winner wherever he goes 6. tony parker: can score and dish almost at will. spurs system doesn't help his stats. 7. deron williams: the heart and soul of the jazz franchise. makes the team offense go. a bit overrated. the jazz played well with brevin knight when he was injured 8. baron davis: if put under the right situation, he's an athletic freak and possibly the top 3 point guards in the league. 9. devin harris: high scoring point guard. not really such a great playmaker. too many turnovers 10. andre miller: steady point guard. leadership. unselfish 11. mike bibby: steady leader, great outside shooter 12. mo williams: meshes well with lebron james, which is previously unheard of. great shooter. 13. rajon rondo: great hands, quick, still improving rapidly 14. jameer nelson: college superstar breaks out in a big way this season. magic's title hope are gone when he got injured 15. derrick rose: rookie of the year candidate has great potential 16. jamaal tinsley: unbelievable playmaking skills. larry bird single-handedly sabotages his career 17. ramon sessions: one of the best up and coming point guard in the nba. excellent playmaking skills 18. jose calderon: great shooter, playmaker. horrible defender. not a winner 19. t.j. ford: lottery pick and college superstar can shoot and dish. can't seem to keep his starting job. beat out by mo williams in milwaukee, calderon in toronto, then jarrett jack(who isn't on this list because he also plays shooting guard) in indiana. 20. russell westbrook: rookie is still developing his playmaking skills ,cutting down his turnovers, and practicing his shots. has hop. very athletic 21. rafer alston: streetball legend still has a loyal following. poor shooting percentage. above average playmaking skills 22. chris duhon: good playmaker. doesn't do much else. 23. steve blake: steady, pass-happy point guard with range. doesn't try to do too much 24. derek fisher: playoff heroic. clutch shooter. good 3 point shooter. doesn't handle the ball as much with kobe bryant around 25. mario chalmers: good defense. likes to steal the ball. doesn't handle the ball as much with wade around 26. luke ridnour: sure he takes care of the ball and dishes out some dimes, but thats about it 27. beno udrih: below average, turnover prone point guard who is grossly overpaid 28. mike conley: draft bust and oden's buddy is showing sign of life. will never be more than a mediocre player\ 29. aaron brooks: will only be known as the guy who shares the same name with michael vick's cousin and former saints quarterback. 30. sebastian telfair: actually played better than his famous cousin stephon marbury this year 31. rodney stuckey: single handedly destroy the pistons franchise. dumars and curry's stubborness also destroy chauncey billups' legacy. 2 all-stars, 1 mvp are benched so he can start. only stuckey is capable of such amazing feat.
Most of Boxing Is fixed you agree Proof? Thanks to Politics And Oscar DE LA HOYS? My opinion : Kelly Pavlik is the present and future in American boxing. Mr. Arum better keep his eyes open because its very clear to me that Hopkins is only fighting Pavlik as a business move for Golden Boy Promotions. They are trying to court and recruit Kelly Pavlik to their team. This fight is just to gain Pavlik's respect and to show him how they do business and promote fights. Why do you think Hopkins had nothing but good things to say about Pavlik at their press conference? He is on his best behavior because Pavlik is like a Lebron James. He's the #1 draft pick and a franchise player. Whoever has the rights to Pavlik will have the best boxer for the next 5-8 years and the top earning potential that comes along with him. With Oscar retiring and Sugar Shane and Hopkins on their way out they are looking for a new cash cow. At 44 yrs old Hopkins really has nothing to gain by fighting Pavlik. Thats why when you look at the fight it doesnt make sense until you look at the behind the scenes part of it. Hopkins had already previously stated that he wouldnt fight anyone under 35. Why change that now for a non championship fight?? Hopkins is a sure Hall of Famer and losing this fight won't hurt his legacy. Gaining Pavlik to the Golden boy team will add money to his bank account for a time to come. Look for GBP to sign Pavlik when he becomes a free agent or try to buyout his contract.

Who got a bigger legendary feud against The Undertaker: Stone Cold or Shawn Michaels? If it's up to me, then I will vote for Undertaker vs Shawn Michaels. No disrespect to Stone Cold, BTW. Two of WWE's biggest franchise wrestlers are The Undertaker and Shawn Michaels. Even though both wrestlers have been in the business for over 20 years, they have wrestled each other only a handful of times. Each time has been memorable though and everytime they entered the ring against each other, wrestling history was made. Here is a look back at the historic feud between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker. Shawn Michaels came back to the WWE in 1997 as the special gues referee for the Summerslam main event between the Undertaker and Bret "The Hitman" Hart. Michaels vowed to call the match fairly, but after confusing circumstances he ended up nailing the Undertaker with a chair and costing him the WWE title. A few short months later, the Undertaker was looking for revenge and he introduced his newest match creation, the Hell in a Cell. With the rest of Degeneration X banned from ringside, it was up to Shawn Michaels alone to battle the Deadman in the sadtistic cell. These two become bloodied quick and Shawn Michaels was even knocked off the top of the cell and onto an announcer's table. The match ended when Undertaker's brother Kane made his debut, tore through the cell door and tombstoned the Undertaker. Shawn Michaels gained the victory, but the Undertaker felt it was undeserved. By the 1998 Royal Rumble, the Undertaker was ready for another shot at Shawn Michaels and the WWE Championship. This time, the cell was replaced with a casket and the feud was renewed again. The Undertaker was out numbered once again though and after being placed into the casket and lit on fire, the feud ended until 10 years later. The Undertaker was on another quest for WWE gold at the 2007 Royal Rumble. He was the 30th entrant and Shawn Michaels had alreayd battled through much of he match. When these two were the last ones remaining, they gave it everything they had until the Undertaker finally overcame Shawn Michaels and eliminated him from the ring to earn his first Royal Rumble victory. Shawn Michaels let that win go, but in 2009, the two would meet again in one of their biggest matches. In a feud that built up for weeks, Shawn Michaels defended his "Mr. Wrestlemania" title against the Undertaker's undefeated Wrestlemania streak. These two wrestlers stole the show in a match that extended 20 minutes and featured multiple false finishes. The Undertaker got the final notch on their feuds and evened the score to 2-2 by defeating Shawn Michaels with a tombstone. Two of the greatest wrestlers of all time are bound to create an instant classic whenever they meet. What's yours and why? And these are two tributes for one of the best WWE feuds of all time: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KwT3UIrUty8 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQqs5K9JQss
i am really upset and feeling helpless!? my boss who owns a restaurant franchise was present for a dinner service this evening and has all new staff working and very little. 3 servers for a 35 tables restaurant. i am an employee that has worked my way to the top of the totem and have the most signoriety, (odd considering i have worked there a full year and a half) so i get slammed with the most tables and am mostly overwhelmed all the time. i was triple seated as we say in the business with 3 tables of 4 people who were in need of special attention due to some serious allergies. so i tell my manager i am overwhelmed and trying to get food out to these tables with allergies. he is back in the kitchen watching my food be remade 3 times so it is safe for the guest. he then tells me as i am running around that i am to take an additional table of 15 in my section which was unreasonable due to the nature of my tables. so i am forced to take this table which ends up getting less then average service due to my work load, and a meal never gets made from the kitchen,(i run all 15 plates alone with condiments drinks etc. because management is "unavailable" to help) i ask and ask for help no one including staff helps me out, so a man complains he hasnt gotten his meal yet to which i reply as i am garnishing another guests meal "that as soon as my hands are empty i will bring it out to him" the guestcplains t management andsays that i madean ignorant comment and the table recieves a large ca$h voucher to return and fix any problems. at the end of the night i seperate my float from my cash owed and i am down 35 dollars of my origional float and not a single tip is left to pay what i collected from tables. my boss has found a way to make me pay for and take any tip i made cash included to cover his expense of the table. he also write me up saying that i get upset when given ordinary tasks to deal with and do not notify management when help is needed he tells me my unprofessionalism will result in loss of my job and makes me sign a write up of the incident. he has stolen money from me when i had on a charged credit card statement 45 dollars owed to me as well as my 45 dollar float and my cash tables ( my last being a group of friends that leave me 25 dollars at the least.) (another leaving 15 because of hearing first hand my situation with this table of 15) what do i do to protect my job and my money? this has happened before and i was told i must have dropped 100 dollars in cash and not noticed. someone please help me about what i can do to stop this. is it not embezzlement and coercion? what protection do i have? he also makes us tip a percentage to kitchen managers and himself. it gets"calculated" and we are told what we owe when our cash is collected, it goes into a big bowl and divided by another senior manager. this percentage is given to other staff who say it is sometimes 50 dollars over 2 week period when i pay out 3 percent of daily sales along with other staff. our restaurant sells on average 4,000 minimum a night. this is embezzlement is it not?
Tna Question: Anyone know if Nova Mike Bucci will be booked to appear at Hardcore Justice? Jeff Hardy or Nova? WQ:) If they called up Supernova aka Mike Bucci who is (Semi-Retired) to wrestle at TNA's pay per view Hardcore Justice who should he wrestle with I think he should be booked to appear against Jeff Hardy that would be very awesome. Imagine that. Jeff Hardy vs. Nova that itself was a Dream Match Nova was a great wrestler in ECW Extreme Championship Wrestling back in the 90's his move set was similar to Jeff Hardy's included the a variation of "The Twist of Fate" he called that move "The Spin Doctor" and Nova did a Swan Time Bomb of the top rope he was ECW's version of Jeff Hardy. When he did get a Wwe contract he was brought in as a "Comedy Act" Simon Dean was a Guru Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer he was jobbing most of the time. I think his biggest win was when he defeated Tna's Alex Shelly in his only Wwe tryout match. They used Nova very poorly and he could of been one of the greats if his wrestling talent would of been utilized the right way. After wrestling he was hired to be a Wwe Road Agent and is responsible for finding both Nattie Neidhart, Ted DiBiase Jr. and Santino Marella. Nova now is a real-estate broker. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_Bucci BQ1:) The "Nature Boy" Ric Flair turns down a offer to wrestle "The Franchise" Shane Douglas at Tna's Hardcore Justice? Shane Douglas had a personal feud and animosity with Ric Flair for many years he called him out to face him at the ECW Arena many times and Ric Flair never answered the challenge. Even now at their age could they both do a "Instant Classic" match for the Tna/Ecw fans? BQ2:) Is this now what exemplifies greatness the elite and best wrestlers that are the current champions in Tna Wrestling? Rob Van Dan (Tna World Champion) The MCMG (Tna Tag Team Champions), (Tna World Television Champion) A.J. Styles & (Tna X-Division Champion) Douglas Williams. I just think there are two slight changes that need to be made first, Victoria (Tara) should of the Tna Knockout's Champion she is that mystery woman who appeared in the dark outfit on the motorcycle. And I really think they should just drop the Tna Knockouts Tag Team Championships and maybe instead of that create Tna X-Division Tag Team Titles similar to the Cruiserweight Tag Team Championships that were created by WCW before they went out of business. Answer all parts of these questions for 10 points thank you. http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/stories/Report_Ric_Flair_Turns_Down_HardCORE_Justice_.shtml http://www.ewrestlingnews.com/stories/Paul_Heyman_At_HardCORE_Justice__Joes_Suspens.shtml Read the articles this the best wrestling site. According to various sources Samoa Joe is suspended from Tna Wresling indefinitely I don't know for how long I just know is because of his "Bad Attitude" he got angry with Jeff Hardy after a match and they say that he's not trying to stay in shape according to articles that I've been reading about this. @נσнηηу ¢нασѕ (DiLLigAF Follower) Yep that was the same guy. Nova's gimmick was very cool in ECW he would wear superhero attire I remember seeing him in costumes like Flash, Green Lantern and Marvel's Venom his gimmick was very unique and very cool. I know what you are saying they really don't have a indepth X-Division like they use to in the past here are a few times they could work with if they do create the Tna X-Division Tag Team Championship belts. To help out with this concept I would bring in both Prime Time Elix Skipper and Shelton Benjamin both are very good wrestlers and would help out Tna. Generation Me The Young Bucks "The Brian Kendrick" and Kiyoshi "Ink Ink" Shannon Moore & Jesse Neal Douglas Williams & Brutus Magnus Amazing Red & Daniels Kazarian & A.J. Styles Kazarian & Desmond Wolfe Jay Lethal & Shark Boy *Elix Skipper & Shelton Benjamin *Elix Skipper & Christopher Daniels To be quite honest I don't want to see another B.W.O (Blue World Order) reunion that was just another Comedy Act in Ecw. When Supernova, Nova or Hollywood Nova was partnered up with Chris Chetti that's when his career started to move foward and they took him more seriously even though he betrayed him and they had a personal grudge match I wouldn't mind seeing Nova partner up with Chris Chetti at Tna's Hardcore Justice which in fact Chris Chetti is Taz's first cousin and the first graduate of Ecw's Wrestling school the house of hardcore. I think with Taz being his cousin he's got the connection to appear at this event I know he's inactive due to a back injury he suffered in 2005 he could appear at the show I really hope they don't leave these two guys so far they are inviting everyone that they could think of that could participate in this pay per view event. They need Nova though. http://www.24wrestling.com/news.php?subaction=showfull&id=1281045201&archive=&start_from=&ucat=7& Yes, he will read the article.

Opinions on DLC (addons, map packs, etc.)? Curious to hear what other gamers think of DLC and the outrageous fact that you have to pay for it. Map packs are a joke, these little addons you get in certain games are a joke. I want to hear what you think of it. Little background before this all started happening: I have been a PC gamer for a long time (I also have a PS3), and a great example of how DLC should be is the ORIGINAL Call of Duty game. Back in those days of better quality of gaming, you got added features to your game for free. Why? Gaming developers and companies used to care about their customers, it's that simple. You used to download something called a patch (a lot of people have no idea what a patch is these days) and it would give you not only enhancements to whatever the game, especially multiplayer....brought on by listening to the gamers' feedback and giving them what they wanted, but you also got maps, extra maps for free. Oh how times have changed. Now you have companies like Activision (yes I pick on them a lot because they deserve it) giving you a barebones version of a game with pitiful multiplayer content at launch, just for the simple fact of charging you for more content and getting more money out of you for stuff that should have been included at launch in the first place. There are hardly any games worth their price tag of $60 these days, and on top of that $60 you have tax. Now you're into it for about $70. After that you play for a while and are completely underwhelmed at the fact that they recycled the last game in the series, made no improvements, slapped a new title on it and charged you full price for it. After all that is said and done, they have content ready for you to buy VERY soon after you just spent $70 on the game. Not once, but twice usually. So now add in map packs at $15 a piece and you're in this thing for $100. Now, with extras that could add even more you're into it for say another $20 or $30. Alright so your total for one single game that isn't a good game, has a pitiful single player campaign, is now at $120 or $130. What's sickening is if you were to spend another $70 you could afford a brand new console (speaking of course at the price range of the Xbox 360 for example purposes). Even at the $100 invested price point, look at it: For every 2 games you buy, you can have a brand new console. People seriously shell out almost the price of a new console for a bad game and it's disgusting. The head of Activision has publicly said that he doesn't care about gamers. That it's a business to him and their opinion doesn't matter. That he discourages creative thinking in the workplace because he wants franchise games that can be pumped out and recycled year after year at little cost, and still charge full price for them....every year. With that said, I cannot fathom why people still buy into that company. Call of Duty: Black Ops set a new sales record, and has made millions more on the map packs. What does that accomplish? People playing a bad game and supporting and funding a company that wants to do nothing but rip them off. The gamers don't see anything from that in terms of respect, improvements, or appreciation (ie. making better games for US!) I am severely disappointed in anyone who has bought DLC for these games. The gaming industry cannot move forward, we will not receive better content and better games to play until things like this change, and the only way to change it is stand up against the rip offs we receive.
How much longer can the BCCI continue to operate their Business dealings in this manner? Are all fast-food chinese take-out restaurants the same? They all have nearly-identical menus, and MUST have? And judging by their menu offerings, and identical taste accross restaurants, they MUST have the same supplier. Can anyone confirm this? All these chinese food restaurants have different names, and different ownerships, but have identical features (large menus placed on an oversized sheet of paper, exact dimensions --maybe 11" by 18" i'm guessing) and they all offer a dish called a "happy family" which has lobster, crab, chicken, and pork. Can anyone confirm to me, that they are indeed linked by the same type of supplier and same business plan? Its almost like they are all a multi-thousand unit franchise but with different store-names to prevent association with one another, when annual health reports come out (fast food chinese restaurants are always tops of the X-list put out by the food inspectors).
How is the business side of the NHL looking...? Forbes annual report has been released, and some numbers are good, while others numbers are not so good (I'll post two links after). According to the article, 18 teams lost money in the past year, and that is before teams had to pay out bank loans or write down assests. Forbes is quite frank, the operating costs, most notably the players salaries, are costing too much at their current rate, and they believe a 50/50 or 48% revenue like those found in the NBA and NFL are much more suitable. They state that it is only a handful of the top earning teams that make piles of money, while the middle teams are either basically breaking even or losing money, while the bottom teams are bleeding money. What sticks out to me: - Although barely, the Penguins lost money last year (in terms of Operating Income) - Despite not having an owner for a long time, the Dallas Stars are the 11th most valuable franchise Questions: 1) How does your team fair, and what is your opinion of where they sit? 2) In your opinion, do these team values indicate the need for any relocation of current teams? 3) Will the next CBA result in the changes needed to make the NHL more profitable without resulting in another lockout? which country has the highest revenue in the coca cola business? try to send the link to me.? i know the headquarters is in atlanta georgia, but i need to know what other countries make in a year from the coca cola company and what country is making more money in the business than america. OR identify 2 or more U.S industries that have flourished as a direct consequence of outsourcing and/or global franchising (e.g, fast food-mcdonald, transport, retail).be sure to cite profits/figure form the last few years to establish your point and to contrast U.S based sales vs. sales from top outsources. THANKS..
Chances? Low GPA, Good SAT - special situation.? (Please ignore all *) Here is my situation. I did really bad in 9th grade, much better in 10th grade, and a lot better in 11th grade (my current grade). My average UW GPA in 9th & 10th grades cumulative: 81.825 (UW), 83.012 (W). I believe some classes are weighted more than others (IE: gym, health is less than academic classes). I got around a 84-85% UW percentage in 10th grade, and a 80.1% UW percentage in 9th grade. My current UW average in % for 11th grade is a 93% (first MP), 92.5% (second marking period). I'm taking hard classes this year, like AP Calc A, AP Stat, AP Bio, AP Chem. Classes I am taking/took: AP Stat AP Comp Sci [5 on exam] AP Bio AP Chem AP Calc AB (going to take AP Calc BC) AP Gov't (going to take next year) My dad died very unexpectedly when I was in 8th grade. It affected me a lot as he was a major influence in my life in mathematics and was probably one of the most influential person in my life. After he died, I started "slacking" in school. I did good in 8th grade (middle school was pretty easy overall), but in 9th grade I missed homework and gym classes without making them up, resulting in a low ~80% UW GPA. Also, my counselor knows my situation with my dad and my grade drop. In 10th grade I took some academic classes because of my low GPA in honors in 9th grade that made me move to academic classes. I did take honors, and I averaged around 85% UW. I had 1 AP in 10th. I am now in 11th, and have improved greatly. I have a 93% UW for the first marking period, and currently a 91.6% UW for this current marking period (second). My SAT score is 2270. 790M, 750CR, 730W. I may try for 2300+. My SATII: 790 in Math II, 750 in Chemistry. I'm going to take more later. All the other classes I have taken are all honors classes. They are not weighted in my school. One of my top ECs besides all the norm (I have about 250 volunteer hours in a hospital, a few clubs, and FBLA) is my business, a registered C corporation and I manage it all by myself (I pay taxes, deal with all issues, accounting, finance, banking, and of course the actual business which is web application development and hosting). It's my passion and what I've devoted my time in. I also have a job 15 hours/week at a franchised tutoring center (Kumon Learning Center) and I do mainly data entry/mathematics tutoring. Schools I am looking at: Drexel Cornell Penn State Main Campus Carnegie Mellon Northwestern NYU UChicago Ren. Polytechnic Emory JHU EA/ED - top choice based on major, also like the area. Major - Premedical (for research MD) What are my chances? Also, if you guys can recommend some schools that are good for my major, that would be great. Thanks! I'll give points to whoever answers truthfully and hopefully provides some insight.
Offered a new position... should I change jobs in a bad economy? I am 24 years old and currently working for a company as a Sales Coordinator. My bills are minimum, still live at home and only have a car payment on top of credit card bills. I get paid a decent amount of money enough to pay the bills and then some, however, recently they did cutback hours a tiny bit but said they will return it to us the start of October. I don't fear I will be losing my job by any means. As far as my position goes in the company I sit behind a desk on a computer all day not my ideal situation of being in a work place. I have been offered a position as a manager by a franchised company who is opening their doors late August. The position is great, I am getting paid more and I know I will enjoy it. My only fear is if the company does not pull through and goes under. This type of business is all based on location and flow of customers. I have a great resume and an extensive sales background I just fear the fact of switching position and possibly losing the new position down the road when I have something stable. What do you think? Should I take the new position?

how does the article make distinction between firms? use these distionctions to analyze and gain insights? Reproduced with permission of copyright owner. Further reproduction or distribution is prohibited without permission. Milan -- When Italian fashion house Gianni Versace SpA recently threw a cocktail party in the courtyard of its 16th-century palazzo to promote its latest creations, designer Donatella Versace ducked out of the soiree early, flanked by bodyguards. Instead, Giancarlo Di Risio, Versace's bespectacled chief executive, presided over an evening that highlighted luxury goods: Parked at one end of the courtyard was a half-million-dollar Lamborghini Murcielago with a black-and-white leather interior by Versace. A huge poster showed an AgustaWestland helicopter with a Versace-designed cabin. Stacked nearby was luggage embossed with the brand's Greek motif, with pieces starting at about $4,000. Mr. Di Risio is trying to shift Versace's attention away from clothes and to accessories, home interiors and other lifestyle products that will bring in new streams of revenue and offset fickle fashion cycles. "Fashion does not exist at Versace," he said, describing his strategy in an interview before the reception. The new approach is bearing fruit. Versace swung back into the black last year, posting a $25.4 million profit after years of losses, and has shaken off millions in debt. Driving that turnaround were rising sales in the lucrative accessories Mr. Di Risio is pushing. Yet the effects of the makeover have touched the core of the company's identity. Ms. Versace has begun taming the flamboyant clothing designs that once set her and the fashion house apart from the crowd. "I no longer recognize myself in that kind of woman," the 52-year-old Ms. Versace said in a telephone interview. The culture shift at Versace highlights how an increasingly competitive fashion industry is forcing even the most freewheeling players to embrace a corporate culture. Many labels, including LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton's smaller brands like Celine and Marc Jacobs, have also been toning down their looks to appeal to a wider swath of consumers. Designers who once called the shots are ceding authority to executives who run the numbers. "In the beginning, it was a shock for me," Ms. Versace said. "When you tell a person who is used to being in power -- to saying yes or no on everything -- to take a step back, it's not easy. But it was necessary." Tweaking a label's aesthetics carries risks. If pushed too far, transformations risk alienating loyal customers, says Robert Burke, head of New York-based luxury-goods consultancy Robert Burke Associates and the former fashion director at Bergdorf Goodman. "You will always want to see a fashion edge to Versace," he says. Yet for family-owned fashion labels like Versace, pressure to make more money is high. They compete with publicly traded conglomerates such as LVMH and PPR SA's Gucci Group, which have the financial heft to expand with stores in the emerging markets of China, India and Russia -- seen as fueling the industry's growth. A number of Italy's top family-owned fashion houses, including Versace, Prada SpA and Salvatore Ferragamo SpA, are considering stock- market listings in the next couple of years. "An IPO would be the best way to raise money and implant in these countries," says Peter Farren, a luxury-goods analyst at the French investment firm Bryan Garnier. At Versace, a sobering realization is spurring Mr. Di Risio's moves: The clothes that once made the brand are now struggling to make money. In its heyday in the early 1990s, Versace stayed ahead of the fashion mainstream with lavish catwalk shows that celebrated the racy designs of founder Gianni Versace. The label amassed collections of real estate and artwork that enhanced the family's jet-setter status. The company found it increasingly tough to squeeze profits out of highly perishable fashions as production costs rose in Italy. In 1997, Mr. Versace was murdered outside his Miami villa. The firm's finances went into a tailspin, and it was forced to shelve plans to go public. Mr. Versace's 50% stake in the label went to his niece, Ms. Versace's then-preteen daughter Allegra Versace Beck, shifting the balance of power. Though Ms. Versace owns only 20% of the company, she was seen to exert huge influence because of her daughter's stake. A third sibling, Santo Versace, owns the remaining 30% of the company. Ms. Versace Beck, now 20 years old, manages her stake with the help of advisers. The Versace stakeholders decided the company needed a CEO who could turn the company around. Fabio Cacciatori, at one time an outside financial consultant for the company, became CEO in September 2003 but resigned in December. The company named Versace's then-Chief Financial Officer Daniele Ballestrazzi interim CEO as it searched for new leadership. When Versace recruited Mr. Di Risio from LVMH's Fendi label in the summer of 2004, the house was saddled with more than $146 million in debt and heading to a net loss of $124 million for the year, on revenue of $416 million. High-end retailers like Bergdorf Goodman had stopped carrying the brand. Bergdorf Chief Executive Jim Gold recalls that Versace was distributing too widely, diluting its exclusivity, and was overly consumed with making a splash on the runway. While many labels had started delivering retailers fresh designs more frequently, ahead of the runway collections, Versace resisted. Mr. Di Risio arrived with a new mantra. Clothing that is too fashionable, he told his lieutenants, is bad for business because it eats up capital and goes out of style quickly. Accessories and other leather goods are a better bet because they have a longer shelf life and fatter profit margins. To reduce Versace's dependence on fashion, Mr. Di Risio shut down lines such as Versace Intimates lingerie and Versace Young, a children's line. The company sold its unprofitable perfume, jewelry and watchmaking divisions, replacing them with lucrative licensing agreements with U.S. watch group Timex Corp. and Italian perfume and cosmetics maker EuroItalia Srl. Mr. Di Risio homed in on the company's shoes and handbags, which have higher profit margins because they cost less to produce than clothes but are easier to sell to a wide array of customers. Last year, more than 30% of Versace's $383 million in revenue came from accessories, compared with 4% when Mr. Di Risio arrived. He also expanded the label's push into home furnishings -- a business that generated sales of $82.5 million in 2006, up 55% from the year before. Versace recently unveiled its "Jet Seat," an aerodynamically-styled leather chair in a high-tech ceramic frame that is sold in Europe for <euro>38,000 (about $50,000). "It was like taking a blank page and rewriting everything," Mr. Di Risio says. To succeed, however, he had to get Ms. Versace on board. She had hoped to resurrect the costly haute-couture fashion shows the label had discontinued before Mr. Di Risio's arrival. But he argued she could more effectively enhance the line's exclusivity by holding showings for individual clients. "I said to Di Risio, 'This is not going to work. This is going to die,'" recalled Ms. Versace. But, she said, "I was wrong, and he was right. We sell more now." Ms. Versace had to become more conscious of how much time and money the label invests in promoting designs at events like the Oscars. Last year, the designer dressed actresses Hilary Swank, Uma Thurman and Salma Hayek and director Robert Altman's wife, Kathryn Reed Altman, who donned a navy-blue sequin gown. This year, however, Ms. Versace limited herself to one gown, designing a rose-colored dress with a sweeping train for best-actress nominee Penelope Cruz. For Versace's ready-to-wear line, Ms. Versace is going for looks she calls "a little more understated." Bergdorf Goodman will carry her designs in the fall for the first time in years. Ms. Versace is also working more closely with retailers, adding four more collections beyond the traditional spring and fall runway collections. These are shown to retailers in private visits, giving them a preview of what to expect. On the financial side, Mr. Di Risio has untangled the company's assets from those of the family, selling property he deemed "nonstrategic" to pay the company's debts. The family's Manhattan townhouse was sold for about $35 million, and its contents went up for auction in 2005. The paintings alone -- including works by artists Andy Warhol, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Roy Lichtenstein and Julian Schnabel -- fetched more than $11 million dollars. Flagship stores in New York, London and Milan that Mr. Di Risio described as "decadent and sad," were redone with sleek, minimalist designs. The label, which operates 82 stores and has 35 franchise operations, plans to open more than 10 boutiques by the end of the year, including seven stores in China alone. When Versace opened the doors of its updated Moscow boutique in April, an array of leather bags, belts and shoes greeted customers at the store's lacquered ground-floor entrance. The label's ready-to-wear collection was relegated to the upper floor.
Who's behind ASDCASHGENERATOR? ASD Cash Generator is a "profit/revenue- share" type internet advertising company that allows you to generate money by viewing websites. I'm using ASD to advertise 5 of my sites and have received real traffic and leads from it. Each day a paid member views ads, they get a share in the profits of the company paid directly to their accounts until the member pockets 25% more than they spent. At the time of this writing, their current daily interest rate has been averaging about 0.50% - 2% per day, and is primarily based on the total the number of ad package sales for the previous day. The daily rebate rate will vary and is not fixed. All you have to do is view 24 web sites each day for 15 seconds each to receive your daily rebate that equals to about 6 minutes. Who's running the show? The company was founded over a year ago by CEO, Andy Bowdoin. In doing my due diligence and searching over 9 pages of information on Google on him (all positive), I found that he has quite an extraordinary reputation, not only as a career Advertising man, but as a man of exceptional integrity. He has over 40 years experience in sales and marketing, and has had success in everything he's done. He started his sales career working with the Dale Carnegie Courses in the early sixties and later worked with the Napoleon Hill Leadership Program. Andy has trained thousands of sales people during his career and started several companies. He expanded a 60-minute dry cleaning franchise throughout the Southeast and Midwest. He developed a company that sold wireless communication franchises throughout the U.S. and then started a company to market credit card processing for merchants. In 1999, Andy did research and discovered a need for GPS Tracking for fleet vehicles and GPS Tech was created. In 2006, Andy again saw a new opportunity - the need for a new way to deliver advertising to the masses and Ad Surf Daily, Inc. was born. He modified his marketing strategies for the internet and attracted over 5,000 members in 120 days and sold over $1,200,000 in services. He now teaches his ASD members his strategies to help them build their internet businesses. ASD has a physical office located in Quincy Florida, a state of the art online support ticketing system and real telephone support where customer service reps handle all support questions or inquiries. One of the big perks with this program is they have an account with Bank of America where you can make direct deposits. They withstood a rigorous Verification Process (common sense will tell you Bank of America doesn't do business with scams). * Sustainable Payout Structure, NO guarantee of earnings in a set time. * Daily Payouts fluctuate with daily sales - true Profit Sharing, NOT a Ponzi. * Daily sales posted each day with your exact payout percentage. * Zero Cost Membership. * Structured like a REAL business with CEO, Executive Officers, Chief Administrator * Full information on CEO, not some 'anonymous' admin How is the company revenue distributed? The ASD Cash Generator business plan pays 50% of all daily ad buys back to the advertisers, 15% in referral commissions (on two levels) and 25% for expenses and corporate profits. By never paying out more than they take in, ASD will never encounter the cash-flow problems that have plagued other paid-to-surf programs. You'll receive a variable percentage daily of that 50% revenue, for surfing 24 sites daily, until you reach 125% of your ad purchase (25% profit), and then you'll re-cycle. Members in the US are sent 1099s for any net profits (not advertising purchases) earned each year from ASD, but you can write off anything you purchase in advertising packages, and in turn, save money on your taxes! Note: ASD Cash Generator is actually the 3rd get-paid-to-surf type program Andy has created. The first two programs were discontinued last year due to programming script problems. All the previous members had their balances transferred over to the new restructured ASD Cash Generator program or were refunded. ASD Cash Generator launched in July 2007. Speak Spanish? ASD also has a Spanish version of the English ASD website for those wishing to either view Spanish-based websites or know people who would like to earn money surfing a Spanish site. It's set to be available for surfing and advertising in the beginning of February. No sponsoring or recruiting is required, but for those that wish to refer others to ASD, they have a referral program that pays up to a 10% commission from the ad credits purchased that you personally refer, and up to a 5% commission from the ad credits of those referred by your direct referrals for a total of 15% total referral commission paid on 2 levels. What's the maximum number of Ad Packages I can purchase? Twelve thousand (12000). Ad Packages are $1.00 each, so the maximum you can own at any one time is $12,000 USD. ASD requires that you have a product, service, program or opportunity that includes a web site to advertise in order to be an advertiser. Note: If you don't have a website to advertise, you can contact me for one to use. 3 Membership Levels: (Optional monthly subscription) You can join ASD for FREE to advertise your site, or you can upgrade and advertise your business and earn cash-back rebates at the same time. The free membership will always be there and advertisers can get FREE advertising by viewing other web sites on the ASD Cash Generator Web Site. An advertiser can pay a monthly membership fee and reduce cash out fees, increase referral commissions and decrease the number of sites to view on a daily basis. The amount of your monthly membership fee determines the number of times you can cash out each week, the amount of your referral commissions and the number of sites you must view each day to receive your rebates. Monthly Memberships: * $10 per mo. fee = Cashout on Mondays Only and 5% referral commission for 1st level and 3% on 2nd level, * $25 per mo. fee = Cashout on Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays and 7% referral commission for 1st level and 4% on 2nd level, * $100 per mo. fee = Exec. VIP membership level, and for $2000 or more in Ad Package purchases, you'll receive 1 year Exec. VIP membership level upgrade. Do I have to pay a membership fee? No. If you just want to be a passive member in ASD and receive cash back rebates from your ad purchases, you don't need to pay a monthly membership fee. It's primarily for people who choose to refer other advertisers or want to increase the frequency that they can withdraw their profits. If you don't pay a membership fee and you decide to refer others (optional), you'll be paid a 3% referral commission on all of your personal referrals only. What payment processors are available? Currently Alert Pay, Solid Trust Pay ,direct deposit into Bank of America account, cashier checks and mail in money order. Soon to come will be an International Debit card What happens if I'm unable to view and rate websites on any given day? If you miss a day and you're unable to view and rate ads (for any reason) you don't lose anything, it just freezes and extends the time line until you come back. Personal opinion: From everything I've researched, Andy Bowdoin is a man of integrity who does what he says he's going to do. He has a rock-solid business plan and experience based on verifiable and publicly available information. Everything is very transparent. His business model is a win win for everyone and very lucrative for both passive and active members. Advertisers who simply want to be sure their website get seen, get exactly what they pay for. Entrepreneurs who want a passive way of growing their money, get the ability of doing so for simply viewing ads daily. They get quality prospects visiting their websites which will ultimately turn into sign ups, sales, or more business partners. You can get a 25% bonus on your advertising dollars spent for simply investing 10 minutes per day to view others sites. So if you purchase $1,000 in advertising from ASD, you'll get paid daily until you receive $1,250 back. It doesn't matter if you purchase an ad for $10 or $500... if you do nothing else but view ads, the results are the same and you'll eventually earn 125% of what you spend (25% net profit). If you look at their Alexa traffic ranking in the chart below, you'll see that there's tremendous momentum with this program right now. Here's how to sign up: 1. Click on this link: http://www.asdcashgenerator.com/?ref=20470, read the FAQ and Terms & Conditions, etc., then click on the link right under the top banner that says "Sign-up." If you didn't get the email you may want to go to Google and get a free gmail account, otherwise you won't be getting any emails from ASD because they'll be blocked. 3. Why do Liberals Spread Poverty? Why Liberals Spread Poverty Liberals would prefer more people to experience poverty. Their actions demonstrate their massive desire to see more people unemployed, and under paid. One of their chief political goals is to cripple the chance for the impoverished from improving their lot in life and thus become even more dependent upon entitlements that only they (liberals) will dole out. Thus the greatest con in elective politics begins again. It's called a "surcharge." You and I would call it a tax increase. One more way and reason for the political class to take even more of the money that you and I slave for by slugging it 9 to 5 everyday. In their funny little semantic sideshow this "surcharge" would be their answer to resolving the problem of the "alternative minimum tax." This year the "AMT" (another hostile attempt for elected leaders to pick-pocket us) will hit 23 million people. Some making as little as $50,000. The original idea of the AMT was to purposefully inflict pain upon 155 wealthy people a gazillion years ago. But it has never been adjusted for inflation - and you know liberals - they've never found a tax no matter how ill conceived that they've ever had a desire to do away with. So now the liberal congress is about to unload a ghastly holocaust of earnings redistribution on many working class families if the leadership in Congress doesn't take action to care for the AMT. Their idea? A 4.3% "surcharge" on "rich people." Particularly those who make $250,000 or more. And one important note - the plan, since it is a "surcharge," would be in addition to the tax rate you already paid last year. Why they do it makes absolutely no sense - especially to the poor. The data speaks clearly to this matter. When you place uber-taxes on the rich you create higher unemployment, greater poverty, and most importantly for people like me who care about the poor - less money in the treasury to provide the important safety nets for those who truly need them. When you do the opposite - you get an opposite result. Cutting the top marginal tax rates - particularly on the upper middle, and upper class tax brackets has a stimulus effect. Jobs are created, poverty turns into ownership, and the treasury takes in oodles of dollars. The liberals' motivations, if impure, make perfect sense. If liberals are in charge of the public sector programs that people become dependent on for day to day living - then liberals can always campaign on the issues of "not taking food out of school children's tummies." Thinking people understand that while offering a hot lunch for a child at school is a wonderful thing for those children who need it. How much more wonderful would it be if that family grew their own economic ability to not be dependent upon the government issued lunches. A family that has the ability to send its own children to school with lunch boxes packed full of Mom's special goodies doesn't need liberals to force feed them the high-carb, mediocre nutrition that one can only get from government processed lasagna. But Mom and Dad seeing Sally and Johnny off everyday fully independent of state aid - is bad political business for liberals. If liberals can't be the family's provider, then they won't be as likely to need such politicians in place and government might actually begin to address what is best for said family. If you haven't noticed - this didn't used to be such a partisan issue. It was a Democrat who in fact first demonstrated the soundness of the fiscal propriety of reducing taxes and increasing revenues - John F. Kennedy. Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush followed in his steps and the results have always been the same. Each of them lowered, and in Reagan's case - greatly reduced, the top marginal rates - and the following year revenues poured into Washington in record numbers. I know... some of you educated in public schools are scratching your head wondering, "How’d they do that?" Follow the simplicity. Top marginal rates are reduced on the people earning the most - many of whom own businesses. Many of them take the savings and reinvest it - in business, in the market, in expansion, in additional services, franchises, or product lines. Every time they do they are giving work/employment to advisors, consultants, contractors, assembly line workers, systems analysts, and the list goes on. Many of those people have employees, or have to hire additional employees to complete the work that they are hired for. And every employee that they hire, earns a little more than they would have - had that company, small business, etc - not been able to grow. And one other thing... all those employees pay taxes. (At least those who are here legally.) Liberals see the economic pie as something that is static, does not grow, and must always be redistributed. Of course they fancy the idea that they know best how to redistribute it all - and in doing so they buy into the Marxian idea: "from each according to his ability, to each according to his need." An utterly immoral viewpoint! Conservatives see the economic pie as something that is somewhat unlimited and can be grown and that when it is grown - people will actually pay MORE in taxes - but will do so off of greater earnings. And the lesson of Kennedy, Reagan, and Bush confirm that it is true. If liberals truly cared about helping people - especially the poor - they wouldn't try to thieve more tax dollars from the only sector of the tax base that can help grow the pie. Instead they would abolish the AMT all together, and give increased tax reduction incentives for those who would use their reductions to further expand their business ventures. They should also give the greatest incentives to those who could demonstrate that they had grown their employment base by more than 4% - since that is roughly the record low rate of unemployment we are now experiencing thanks to the "grow the pie" economy now in place. But they won't. As long as liberals will live they will attempt to take more of what does not belong to them, even if it means growing the rate of unemployment, seeing the number of Americans who live below the poverty line increase, and reduces the amount of dollars Washington can use to help those who truly do fall through the cracks. Just remember - raising taxes lays people off, cause poverty to increase, and reduces the resources that are available for government to help those who are in desperate need. Reducing taxes increases jobs, moves people from poverty to ownership, and fills the federal coffers with help for those in need. Can it be said any more plainly?
