Can you recommend a good company that sells good conatct lists for direct mailing campaigns? We will be targetting conatcts holding certain positions/titles in US companies that are both public and private of sizes $250M to $1B in annual US Revenues. I know that a lot of lists are crappy and have old (or just wrong) information. Have you had good experiences (or bad) with any list companies such as US List, Infocore, Guaranteed Lists, Century List Services, The List Company, etc. Also - the campaign we're doing requires us to actually obtain the list (as opposed to sending our materials off to the list managing company to generate leads for us). Thanks for your help!
I would like to know how i can obtain mailing list without paying for them? I would like to know if there are any data bases that you can research and obtain public information such as people who are interested in new age movement, spirituality, humantarians and people who are interested in things like this. I am trying to obtain mailing lists from magazines and such. I am open for suggestions. Thank-You What about joining an Association like DMA I would pay for the mailing list from a specific magazine that would help me target the type of individuals i am looking for.
Where do you find legit information on buying foreclosed real estate and attending real estate auctions? I live in CA and have taken two college level Real Estate classes and a few seminars, but no one seems to have any information that is actually available to the public on how to buy foreclosures, where to get the lists from for free and where to find the auctions. My college instructors advised to just buy a house via the "normal" route and avoid many of the problems people have with such properties, and the seminar instructors just seemed to want to sell their own mailing lists which just listed banks that didn't have any information you couldn't find on Google. I've sent a few letters to Fannie Mae and have only received their "new home buyers' guide - which is very informative - but not helpful. I'd like to invest in foreclosures and possibly "flip" a property and I know it isn't easy and it is a true risk of $$, but it seems like those in the know are keeping quiet about their resources - if this is public information, where do you find it without taking a get-rich quick seminar?
Where to find list of adreses locally? Trying to do some advertising locally i see lots of companies offering mailing lists, if they have access to this info it must be avaliable to the public for cheaper or even free, just need some help trying to find mailing lists or list of adresses in certain cities and towns.
Is there a simple way of getting Exchange public contacts into a .NET Application? This is such basic, powerful functionality I'm *sure* it must have been done before, but much as I search on Google I can't find anything that works. I've tried half a dozen obscure "workarounds" to achieve this, not one of them has worked. All I get is error messages from deep inside the Mail API, and googling them simply leads to dead ends. So if anyone out there knows how to simply get a list of public exchange contacts into a .NET application, I'd love to hear from you! Thanks for the CSV suggestion.. it may be the only way, but I'd prefer to have the list updated every time the application starts. The reason being, the user of the application isn't well versed in Outlook, and I don't want them having to update stuff whenever a person joins or leaves the company, which is quite frequent here.
Disney Special Offer Mailing List - Who & How to be On That List ? I've read on line and on yahoo answers - people who receive offers from Disney - special for their group or family etc. that includes a pin number to call and use. For example: There has already been a 2010 mailing with free dining using a pin number in the mailing. This is NOT Disney Vacation Club members - but who are on this list and how do you get there. We have been multiple times but never receive anything other than what goes to the general public. Google was no help. Thanks for your answers. Just for additional info: I have been a Disney Chase Card Member for years and that has made no difference for me, anyway.
Where can I get lists of people willing to receive e-mail relative to a website? I have a website devoted to my writings and travels, and I would like to boost my visitedness. When I search online for e-mail lists, or when I join a group like MySpace, what I get is an offer to send e-mail to recipients already on a list that I provide. That does me no good whatsoever. What I am trying to do is make new people aware of my website, not send more e-mail to people I already have. When you promote a book, you want to get it to the public, not just show it to your relatives and friends. Same idea. I'd be willing to pay for lists of course. That's no answer! That's the question! No, I wasn't talking about spam, I thought I clarified. But doing it your way is one at a time. Go to MySpace and start contacting people one by one. That's nowhere, when you consider that the bounce rate on a website is 75% or so How many decades would I have to spend to build a list at that rate? Wummer, I tried Google AdSense. Results were practically zero. Then i checked out the Yahoo Ad. It would cost up to 50 cents a click for small volume, but even for large volume, like $3000 a month, you're still paying 25 cents a click. I'm willing to spend some money, but that's too much.
How can I get a mailing list of cosmetologists in California by county? I'm looking to offer a clipper and scissor sharpening service to cosmetologists in San Diego county. Does anybody know of a mailing list that goes to home addresses (as opposed to sending 50 mailings to a salon where 50 cosmetologists work)? Does anybody know of a way to get e-mail addresses for cosmetologists? I assumed that since the state requires licensing - all of which is public record - it would be easy to get the info... but not so much... Thanks a ton!
checklist for public housing? My friend and I are requesting Public Housing in Glen Burnie, Maryland. We got this letter in the mail "Check List For Public Housing" now we have everything we need except a Lease or Notarized letter from landlord/family member, because we live with my mom for right now and we don't pay her anything except for some bills like food/cable etc... I'm on the lease but I don't think my friend is. He kind of jumps from house to house... how can we go about this issue? please and thank you. Yeah but how do we go about getting it notarized? Go to court or something?
is there any public listing for RCMP officer's e-mail address? I would like to contact one that has dealt with me in the past, and recently came to my house when I was having a rough time. I just wanted to apologize for not coming to the door, I hadn't realized it was him and I didn't feel like talking to just anybody. But i feel too embarrassed to leave him a voice mail. I tried the standard form that RCMP uses, but for some reason it kept coming back to me. (the reason he dealt with me in the past was to investigate various crimes i've committed, that's why i feel embarrassed)
Why do public agencies take so long to hire? I applied to work at my county's public transit agency. The job is truly my dream job. Not only am a super-qualified, public transportation is my passion. Of course I applied for this job. It took them two weeks to call me back to take a writing test. It took three MORE weeks until I got a letter in the snail mail saying something to the effect of, "Congratulations on passing the next round of the selection process. Now we will conduct rolling interviews, and attempt to fill the position from the qualified candidates by one year from today. Do not contact us for your position on the list". Which means they are interviewing candidates ONE BY ONE(!) down the list. I know I am on the list, but of course have no idea where. It could take them 11 months to call me to interview! Who is still available more than 11 months after applying for a job? I REALLY want a chance to interview, but how can I ever know if they will interview me? Why are they so inefficient?
AUGH! I Got put on the WH Propaganda mailing list! You too? I just received yet ANOTHER propaganda email from the WH. So this is what they do when you write in to complain. Did anyone else get this one: Dear Friend, Anyone that's watched the news in the past few days knows that health insurance reform is a hot topic — and that rumors and scare tactics have only increased as more people engage with the issue. Given a lot of the outrageous claims floating around, it’s time to make sure everyone knows the facts about the security and stability you get with health insurance reform. That’s why we’ve launched a new online resource — WhiteHouse.gov/RealityCheck — to help you separate fact from fiction and share the truth about health insurance reform. Here's a few of the reality check videos you can find on the site: * CEA Chair Christina Romer details how health insurance reform will impact small businesses. * Domestic Policy Council Director Melody Barnes tackles a nasty rumor about euthanasia and clearly describes how reform helps families. * Matt Flavin, the White House's Director of Veterans and Wounded Warrior Policy, clears the air about Veteran's benefits. * Kavita Patel, M.D., a doctor serving in the White House's Office of Public Engagement, explains that health care rationing is happening right now and how reform gives control back to patients and doctors. * Bob Kocher, M.D., a doctor serving on the National Economic Council, debunks the myth that health insurance reform will be financed by cutting Medicare benefits. There's more information and a number of online tools you can use to spread the truth among your family, friends and other social networks. We knew going into this effort that accomplishing comprehensive health insurance reform wasn't going to be easy. Achieving real change never is. The entrenched interests that benefit from the status quo always use their influence in Washington to try and keep things just as they are. But don't be misled. We know the status quo is unsustainable. If we do nothing, millions more Americans will be denied insurance because of pre-existing conditions, or see their coverage suddenly dropped if they become seriously ill. Out-of-pocket expenses will continue to soar, and more and more families and businesses will be forced to deal with health insurance costs they can’t afford. That's the reality. Americans deserve better. You deserve a health care system that works as well for you as it does for the status quo; one you can depend on — that won't deny you coverage when you need it most or charge you crippling out-of-pocket co-pays. Health insurance reform means guaranteeing the health care security and stability you deserve. President Barack Obama promised he'd bring change to Washington and fix our broken, unsustainable health insurance system. You can help deliver that change. Visit WhiteHouse.gov/RealityCheck, get the facts and spread the truth. The stakes are just too high to do nothing. Thank you, David David Axelrod Senior Advisor to the President Have you emailed the White House? I know I did and I'm guessing that's how they got mine.
I am starting a web page. The purpose of my web page is to inform the public of the need for more sidewalks? I am starting a web page. The purpose of my web page is to inform the public of the need for more sidewalks (a cause that I feel strongly about). I would like to enable the viewers of my site to write an e-mail to their State Senators as well as the President of the United States (the money for building sidewalks for all states comes froma federal block grant). I want to make this process painless for my sites viewers,, so I would like to include an html e-mail list...where 1- the user can click/or find their state,, and then gain an e-mail letter that after they have finished typing their request,, when they press send the letter will be sent to both state senators as well as the president. How can I do this?
Is it me or is the NDP begining to sound like a public broadcaster telethon? Below is an NDP mass e-mailing campaign -- are they beginning to sound like a telethon to you ---- Send money send money now -- ? ----------------------- I’m about to go launch our new NDP TV ad, and I wanted to give you an exclusive look. New Democrats have a real chance to get immediate help for 190,000 hard-hit families – but it’s not a done deal yet. We need Harper and Ignatieff to stop the games and get down to work for you. So we’re taking our case to everyday Canadians with a National TV ad buy starting tomorrow. You’re one of the first to see it. Have a look and then help us get it on the air with an online donation right now. Every $100 means 1650 more people get our message – so you can make a real difference now. I have to run, but I’ll write to you more tomorrow about why it’s so important to get our message out and get Parliament working for you. In the mean-time, please make a donation and help get our ad on the air. Brad Lavigne National Director Jack Layton’s New Democrats --------------------------------------------- To their credit I get 3 times as much mail from the NDP than I do from the Liberal party and 10 times more than I do from the Green party --- ( I didn't sign up for the Conservative e-mailing list so I have no idea what they are up to)
Can you send mail to a companies address listed in the phone book? I have a special offer i want to send out to some local businesses as a postcard. I can find their addresses on yellowpages.com, but now i'm wondering, will those addresses actually accept mail, or would mail get returned to sender? Do all companies have PO Boxes that they receive mail at, or different addresses than the ones they list in public directories? thanks
Does a restraining order show up as public record? My husband did not sign for a certified letter because there was a W. listed as his middle initial and not an A. So the courts sent an order to appear through regular mail. The woman that filed is trying to get a restraining order on her ex. According to the paper work she really needs a restraining order on him to protect her son and herself. I called the court and let them know they had the wrong person. They said she gave our address(I think she must have got it from public records since we bought our home 5 months ago). They said that they would let her know on the 13th when she shows up for the hearing. Is this going to cause further problems for my hubby down the road? Oh, the papers also said the guy she was wanting was born in '78 and my hubby was born in '73. Thanks everyone. If he misses work we lose about $175.00 for the day(he is a truck driver). Is there any other way to go about this?
yahoo spam mail question? I get a ton a yahoo junk mail every day. I noticed on the part of the letter where it says to,on the person who sent me my mail ,they usually have a list of names similar to my e-mail address. Is my yahoo mail on a public list ?, if it is public how do I take it off?

Is there a method to send e-mails to multiple IDs such a way, each is oblivious that it is a mass mailer ? I want to send the same e-mail to everyone in my address book. However each of them should receive it like an individual personal e-mail. They need not know to who else I "send" the same e-mail. I do not know any method other than sending the mail to each of them separately which is taking a long time. The problem with sending at one go is that my "contact person list" will become public at least to all the members in my mailing list to start with !! A second doubt : is there a method by which I can hide my e-mail ID while sending a mail ? Creating fake mail IDs is still an option. However, will it be possible to block the from e-mail ID ?
Did you know that Rush matters to John Edwards? BEGIN TRANSCRIPT RUSH: Yesterday we told you about the Edwards website. If you go to the John Edwards for president website, you get an opportunity there to send a sympathy card to Elizabeth Edwards, and if you did, you were put on an e-mail list where you then received solicitations from the Edwards campaign. (interruption) What are you laughing at in there now? You got some caller on the phone you're trying to polite to? All right. It must be one of those days in there. Well, what's happened now is that, since this has been made public, the Edwards campaign has decided they're going to give you an opportunity to be put on their solicitation list. Yeah, you were just automatically on it if you sent Mrs. Edwards a sympathy note via e-mail. "After being confronted by questions from reporters, the Edwards campaign said it will add an option to allow well-wishers to decline getting future e-mails." So why change it? I mean, are they admitting here that they might have gone overboard?

What's the best way to obtain e-mail addresses from a local government? Whenever you send an e-mail to a city offical there's a disclaimer that says don't send this email unless you're ok with your email address being disclosed in a public records request. What's the approriate way to request e-mail addresses from a government? Do I say "I'm requesting a list of all the e-mail addresses the government has gotten e-mails from in 2009?" Thoughts?
How many are in favor of the proposed "Do not mail list"? Please take a few things into consideration: This will essentially eliminate thousands of jobs in the direct mailer market The Postal Service does not recieve funds from the government, they survive by sales alone. Bulk mailers make up a huge portion of the USPS's revenue, if lost the USPS could struggle to give the convienience it currently affords to the American public.
Recieved a letter in the mail from Public Funding, and need to know if anyone has ever done this before? I got involved with Public Funding about 3 months ago.I signed up and they said there is a 20 dollars fee for the program but I can waive this fee if sign up with an offer on their site so I did.I signed up emailed them my confirmation number and then canceled my offer. They approved. In return I got a website address full of listing of assembly jobs to do at home.Sadly they require fees also.I emailed Public Funding about this and they said that they are not responsible for the job listings that require fees. The only reason the 20 dollar fee was for their effort and creating a site to put all these work at home jobs together. They also pre screened the jobs on the list to make sure they aren't scams that is why you pay 20 dollars for.It made sense to me.I didn't do anything with them for 3 months and now I got a letter from them offering me a stapling booklet job but with a 39 dollar fee.I recently emailed them and they said it's legit. What do you think? They offer money back.

Do Orwell’s Predictions Ring True? Do Orwell’s Predictions Ring True? By Derek Shaw The Daily Trojan October 4, 2002 George Orwell's "1984" depicts a world that has been reduced to absolute governmental control over all areas of life, banishing the freedom to love, read and even think freely. The threat of constant warfare falsely propagated by the "Party," the single political power in the totalitarian state of Oceania, allows the government to maintain and expand its reign over the lives of its people. Sound somewhat familiar? Well it should ... As the likelihood of war in the Middle East continues to escalate, American citizens are slowly and methodically being stripped of some of their most fundamental civil liberties. Meanwhile, the U.S. government has successfully created an unprecedented fervor of patriotism, causing Americans to blindly hand over their freedoms in exchange for the promise of security. Without attempting to cast any unmerited aspersions on our government or immaturely parallel a piece of fiction to reality, it is nonetheless interesting and rather eerie to compare the events in "1984" to the affairs of today. Let's look at the facts. In "1984," the bold slogan of the Party is "War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength." This set of socio-political paradoxes serve to justify the actions of the government while forcing the population to abide by the imperishable laws. The assumed objective of protecting the nation rationalizes all violence and corruption. The state of Oceania in "1984" is involved in an eternal war with an unclear, ever-shifting enemy. The government leads the public to believe that they are always in danger, when in fact much, if not all, of the war is fabricated. One day the enemy is Eurasia, and the next day the government announces that the enemy is Eastasia and has always been Eastasia. The people swallow the lies and digest them as truths without raising a single question. The real purpose of war is to control opposition of the government and maintain total authority by cultivating fear and hatred. Today we are facing imminent war with Iraq. A year ago our target was al-Qaida and bin Laden. Then it became a battle within Afghanistan. And just to be sure, President George W. Bush openly labeled Iran, North Korea and Iraq as the "axis of evil." In a later speech, he added Cuba, Libya and Syria to the growing list of nations that are allegedly seeking to obtain or develop weapons of mass destruction. Indeed, the war on terrorism has spread out of control. On Aug. 22, 2002, Bush called Saddam Hussein a threat to the civilized world and announced that it was in everyone's best interest to see him removed from power. Granted, Hussein is not the first person on most of our Christmas card mailing lists, but what has really happened in recent years to warrant such treatment? Surely it is a mere coincidence that Bush (former oil tycoon) is targeting Iraq, which just so happens to have one of the most plentiful petroleum supplies in the world. In many ways, Bush has become the physical manifestation of Big Brother, the omnipotent, all-knowing symbol of leadership in Oceania. In "1984," Big Brother is both feared and loved by the people. His power goes untested. Similarly, the Bush administration has sculpted an infallible image of integrity for itself, and the American people have responded with a show of faith and support. In fact, it has become accepted, if not fashionable, to show American pride with stickers, T-shirts and flags. A frenzy of nationalism has infected our country; and consequently we have put trust in the government to do all that is necessary to defend and vindicate the United States. As a result, American freedoms are being cleverly attacked by new legislation, which is taking advantage of the vulnerability of its citizens. In "1984," signs reading "Big Brother is watching you" constantly remind the people of Oceania that their every move is being monitored and judged. The Bush administration has enacted programs such as TIPS (Terrorism Information and Prevention System), which allows the government to recruit citizen-spies within the United States to supplement law enforcement. In addition, the USA Patriot Act now allows law enforcement and intelligence agencies to expand surveillance to monitor phone conversations, Internet usage and business transactions. All the while, it eliminates the checks and balances system which allows courts to oversee the legality and integrity of the affairs. Bush's proposal for a Department of Homeland Security, which happens to include an exemption from the Freedom of Information Act, intends to combine 22 federal agencies for the purpose of fighting terrorism more effectively. It sounds good on the surface, but the problem is that many of the actions will be performed in secret — hidden from the media and the public. Bush himself outlined the goal of the operation in a speech on Oct. 17, 2001. He announced, "Ours will be a broad campaign, fought on many fronts. It's a campaign that will be waged by day and by night, in the light and in the shadow, in battles you will see and battles you won't see." The ambiguity of this statement is indicative of the whole war on terrorism. Just who are we fighting and why? These questions deserve answers. Is America gradually slipping into an Orwellian society? Maybe not, but no nation is indestructible. Bush has made it clear that war is imminent. The trend of violence is only growing stronger, and we are steadily becoming blind to the injustices perpetrated by our government in the name of freedom. So as we focus our attacks on Iraq and our rivals become more unclear and arbitrary, ask yourself, "Who is the real enemy?" © 2002 The Daily Trojan
My mom won't write me an eviction notice. How else can I get moved up on the public housing list? Me, my fiance and my 1 year old daughter are currently staying with my abusive mother and my abusive grandmother. They're a total nightmare. I moved out when I turned 18 and didn't say a word to them. Now due to hard times, we have to stay with them. They constantly verbally abuse us. I don't know what to do, I'm trying very hard to get out of this situation. We were #38 about 3 months ago. We've requested an update on our number and are waiting to receive it in the mail. What can I do to get out of this situation?
Is there any way to get as judgement removed from my public record? I had a judgement entered against me last month. I don't care about it being on my credit report, but I do care about it being listed in the public records. Meaning anyone can go in and see my judgement. First off the judgement is in the wrong amount and I have proof I have made some payments. If I pay it off, can I at least get it removed from my public record? I know it will be on my credit report for 7 yrs or whatever, but I need it removed from the public records at the courthouse, because I can't get certain jobs as long as it's there. Any lawyers or attorneys that help, could I e-mail you for more help? How or what can I do to get this removed from my public records? I don't want it to say paid, I need it removed from my public records. As I said I don't care if it's onm my credit report, but I need it removed from my public records. Please only serious advice and help only as this affects my life and career. Thanks for any help!!!

What's my job title? "Secretary" doesn't quite cut it....? My job title at work is "secretary," but my job description goes way beyond that. I'm trying to research what kind of salary I should be making, but don't know what job title to search for. My duties include: -Creating and maintaining a contact database with full history of where everyone has worked and what committees they have served on during their employ. Producing reports, statistics, and mailing lists on demand. -Creating and maintaining network templates for word documents. -Creating and maintaining a special events database for inviting people worldwide to upcoming media events. Must run statistics and reports on demand, see who was invited to previous events and whether or not they attended, etc. -Creating event programmes, invitations, signs, tickets, RSVP cards, and sign-in sheets for internal and external events. -Attending highly confidential board meetings, taking and distributing minutes, formatting and revising publications and redistributing them, organizing the meetings, room reservations, and refreshments at the call of the chair. -Light technical support and trouble-shooting for my department. -Standard permission and information letters for my various department heads. -Proofreading and occasionally reformatting media releases and other public documents before distribution. -Streamlining electronic office procedures. -Screening phone calls for my supervisor. -Dictation. -Relief reception. -Online research. -Troubleshooting the photocopier, fax machine, voicemail computer, and postage machine. -Whatever else my boss can find for me to do. So....Who Am I?
How soon must collection agency respond after receiving letter of dispute within 30 day period? I requested verification of a debt two weeks ago. I didn't deny I owed the company, but did deny the original amount listed with the collection agency, and requested proof of how they arrived at the large mount in late fees and interest. Although this company was sending me mail at least twice a week, I haven't heard from them since sending the letter, and this is the third week now. I made the request within the 30 day period mentioned in the letter, so I should have received something via mail by now shouldn't I? How much time do they have to get back to me with the information? My credit report shows the ORIGINAL debt I owed with late fees August 2006 was $7000(it was much less than that), one month later, it showed over $11,000 September 2006. I also noticed, that although I have debt with other collection agencies, only this collection agency appears on the first page directly under "public records" listing the debt I owe. Why is their information listed differently? I assume this means they are close to taking this to court. What does everyone think of the above? I can't afford a lawyer, and I'm currently unemployed for medical reasons. Are there any agencies which provide free legal assistance? Also, the collection agency received my letter three weeks ago, by certified mail, and I did receive a copy of the signature.

How does the US Coast Guard "wish list" work at basic training? I am curious about how the wish list works as far as where you wish to be stationed once out of boot camp. How many options can you pick, 3? Do you only pick sectors or districts, or do you request specific stations or even specific cutters? Is it possible to also request NOT to be stationed somewhere in particular? I would ask the recruiter, however, the nearest recruiter is two hours away, has a huge area of responsibility, screens calls, and does not return e-mails promptly. So, I am turning to the experienced people in the public. Thank you.
How do I get a free list of e-mail addresses? I'm going to be sending e-mails I'm going to be sending a bunch of emails soon to promote my online store and was wondering if there was a free email directory that I could have access to. Is there a public email access database online??
Distribution lists as Email address in Exchange server? I am running sbs2003, but my question is on the Exchange side. We have a distribution list let's call it list@domain.com Right now it goes to one person, but we have run into the problem of that person being out, and people needing those E-mails. Instead of giving them access to her inbox, or adding them to the distribution list, (Because they don't want it daily) IS there a way to just have those emails go to a public folder that everyone has access to? If you have any questions please post back.. Thank you.

Why is a Woman's Group with Ties to the Clintons supressing the Black Vote? Hillary Front Caught Suppressing Vote - Again! From the DNC’s taxpayer-funded National Public Radio: Group with Clinton Ties Behind Dubious Robocalls by Peter Overby All Things Considered, May 1, 2008 · Thousands of North Carolina residents answered their telephones last week to hear this message, delivered in a deep, soothing voice: “Hello. This is Lamont Williams. In the next few days, you will receive a voter registration packet in the mail. All you need to do is fill it out, sign it, date and return the application. Then you will be able to vote and make your voice heard. Please return your registration form when it arrives. Thank you.” In fact, the deadline to register for the May 6 Democratic presidential primary had already passed. The robocall went to many registered voters who were expecting to vote that day. The call and follow-up mailings left many wondering whether they were registered for the primary or not. This sounds like a classic example of voter suppression — sowing confusion in order to drive down turn-out. The calls seemed to be aimed at African-American communities, places where Illinois Sen. Barack Obama is expected to run well ahead of New York Sen. Hillary Clinton. But the group behind the calls isn’t partisan Republican or ideologically conservative. It’s Women’s Voices Women Vote, a 501(c)(3) charity that states its mission as registering single women to vote… Just a week ago, the group’s founder, Page Gardner, contacted the North Carolina Board of Elections to let them know about the mailing. She noted that the Women’s Voices packet, which she said was intended to boost registration in general, would arrive in mailboxes just before the primary. Gardner wrote: “We hope this unfortunate coincidence in timing does not lead to any confusion or aggravation for either your state’s voters or registrars.” Will Evans of the Center for Investigative Reporting , who collaborated in reporting this story, found some Obama backers among the Women’s Voices leadership, but the group mostly has ties to Clinton and her campaign. Gardner worked on former President Bill Clinton’s 1992 campaign. Board member John Podesta was President Clinton’s chief-of-staff. Maggie Williams, Hillary Clinton’s campaign manager, used to be on the Women’s Voices leadership team and did consulting work for the group… The Institute for Southern Studies began investigating after receiving complaints about the robocalls. The institute traced the calls to Women’s Voices, which has acknowledged responsibility. The Institute turned up other complaints about the group as well, in Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, Louisiana, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia and Wisconsin. A “Lamont Williams” robocall similar to North Carolina’s ran in Ohio last fall. In Virginia, robocalls days before the February primary caused voters to flood the board of elections with phone calls, in turn triggering an investigation by the state police. Kromm says this shows at least five months of a “deceptive tactic, illegal in many states.” He notes, “Each time this group is criticized for this activity, they apologize for the confusion.” The North Carolina attorney general says the robocalls are illegal. State law requires that automated phone calls identify the sponsoring group and give the recipient a phone number or other means of contacting the group. The Lamont Williams call did neither… As the article notes, a former “leadership team” member at WVWV is none other than Hillary’s campaign manager, Maggie Williams. And Bill Clinton’s chief of staff, John Podesta, is still listed as a “director.” As the article also briefly notes, these same people have pulled this and other similar voter suppression stunts several times before. As the aforementioned Institute For Southern Studies points out, this is not an isolated mistake: D.C. nonprofit aimed at women voters behind deceptive N.C. robo-calls By Chris Kromm May 1, 2008 * In Arizona last November, election officials were “inundated with complaints” after Women’s Voices sent a mailing erroneously claiming that recipients were “required” to mail back an enclosed voter registration form. Many who received the mailing were already registered; the mailing also gave the wrong registration date. Secretary of State Jan Brewer denounced the group’s tactics as “misleading and deceptive.” A similar mailing in Colorado that month “[drew] fire and caused confusion,” according to a state press release. * In Wisconsin, state officials singled out Women’s Voices for misleading and possibly disenfranchising voters, stating in a press release [PDF]: “One group in particular — Women’s Voices. Women Vote, of Washington, D.C. — apparently ignored or disregarded state deadlines in seeking to register voters,” sending in registrations past the January 30 deadline and causing “hundreds of Wisconsin voters who think they registered in advance” to actually not be. * Michigan officials ended up “fielding tons of calls from confused voters” after Women’s Voices did a February mailing to “380,000 unmarried women” — including numerous deceased voters and even more that were already registered. Sarah Johnson of Women’s Voices “seemed confused by the confusion,” the Lansing State Journal reported. * A 1.5 million-piece Women’s Voices mailing in Florida falsely stated: “To comply with state voting requirements, please return the enclosed application.” Pasco County’s elections supervisor called it “disingenuous”; another said it created “a lot of unnecessary panic on behalf of the voters,” reported local newspapers. Sarah Johnson of Women’s Voice said, “I’m sorry to hear that.” * By March, Women’s Voices was backing off the erroneous “registration is required” language, but there were still problems. For example, a mailing in Arkansas allowed that “registering to vote is voluntary,” but a clerk in Washington County reported that “the majority [of forms] sent back to the county come from registered voters, causing needless labor for office employees.” Problems with the group’s tactics have also been documented in Louisiana, Kentucky and Ohio. In each state, the Women’s Voices campaigns have brought the same news and the same themes, again and again: Deceptive claims and misrepresentations of the law — sometimes even breaking the law. Wildly inaccurate mailing lists, supposedly aimed at “unregistered single women,” but in reality reaching many registered voters as well as families, deceased persons and pets. Tactics that confuse voters and potentially disenfranchise them. For such a sophisticated and well-funded operation, which counts among its ranks some of the country’s most seasoned political operatives, such missteps are peculiar, as is the surprise expressed by Women’s Voices staff after each controversy… Probably NPR is just relieved to find that mean, racist Republicans aren’t behind these shenanigans. Of course if they were, NPR and the rest of our watchdog media would be screaming for a special prosecutor and round the clock Congressional show trials. But speaking of fraud, here is just one example of an ad from this taxpayer supported non-partisan 501c3 “charity”:
My Father was in a funeral procession and went through a red light.? There was no notice posted that there would be a camera issueing tickets by mail. I went to dmv, and DCPD and they finally referred me to the court house. The court house does not have a rate sheet w/ code violations listed. I strongly feel that the public has the right to know in advanced what these fines are going to run before they get a notice in the mail!

That's the company's tag line. And they deliver. LOVETHELAB?************ I'm a BD flow lover, a confirmed Mac user (I tell everyone "I don't do Windows"). So why am I touting a machine made by Amnis that requires Windows? Because this instrument goes above and beyond mere flow cytometry- it shows you every event (that's cell to non-flow users) in detail. I used it and I am sold. It takes a single experiment now to do intracellular localization, in place of two. A simpler caspase activation assay. What's not to love? Even the computer quandary is solvable (the one feature I'd change: I'd have it run off a Mac) - with an Intel Mac; just get Parallels software, install Windows, and you are good to go, or rather, run. And the ImageStream can run off an Intel Mac this way too. I bought an Intel iMac just for analysis. Installation of Parallels was easy, IDEAS is about as intuitional as any flow software package. And Amnnis reps bend over to be helpful. Don't let the price tag scare you; rather, help write a shared- instrument grant (we did) for your institution to get one. It is simply amazing. The most comprehensive flow cytometry and analytical cytology website I have found. You will find resources ranging from archived protocols to request forms for the latest protocols CD-ROMs - and they are free while supplies last. Job listings, meetings, journals, latest developments- it is all here. Lectures Website Dr. J. Paul Robinson, Purdue University School of Veterinary Medicine, has put a compilation of lec-ture slides on a website. Some of the information is bullet statements, but the pictures are great. If you've never seen a flow cytometer, you'll see lots of them here. If you are new to flow, you'll find in-troductory slides here. Practical Flow Cytometry, Fourth Edition by Howard Shapiro, published by J. Wiley & Sons, 2003. Website Dr. Shapiro has kindly put his textbook online through Molecular Probes. It is free! Yes, you do need to register to see it, but that's all you need to do, and you have access forever. Flow Cytometry E-mail Discussion Group Website Have a question? Novices to experts, all levels of questions are welcome. This e-mail group has been invaluable to me. E-mails are archived and can be searched by topic. International Society for Analytical Cytology Website The premier society for flow cytometry, it publishes Cytometry Parts A and B (Clinical Cytometry), Case Studies in Clinical Flow Cytometry, and Current Protocols in Cytometry. These are available on-line, but you must be subscribed for access. Regular dues are US $126; fees are deeply dis-counted for students, post-doctoral fellows, and scientists from developing nations. Please consider joining. National Flow Cytometry Resource, Los Alamos National Laboratories Website Where the cutting edge happens. NFCR runs a course every June that alternates between Los Ala-mos and New England. I recommend it to the serious flow person; you will learn a tremendous amount, including how to build your own flow cytometer, if you are so inclined. FlowCyte Website This discussion group is dedicated to flow users interested in developing uniform bioinformatics standards. They are also developing analysis and statistics software for flow users. Should a founder of public school be allowed to sue parents for asking questions? This was in the Philadelphia Inquirer yesterday. Devon charter school sues parents By Martha Woodall Inquirer Staff Writer Several parents at the Agora Cyber Charter School in Devon who asked questions about the school's finances have been sued by the founder and her management company. Dorothy June Brown contends that the parents and the Agora Parent Organization defamed her and Cynwyd Group L.L.C. in complaints sent to the state Department of Education and in e-mails circulated to other parents at the statewide cyber school. The parents say they were just trying to get answers about the relationship between Cynwyd Group and Agora. The cyber school rents its headquarters from Cynwyd under a nine-year lease and pays the firm a management fee of at least 4 percent, according to a services agreement. Brown owns Cynwyd and serves as its senior consultant to Agora, according to school and state records. The civil suit Brown filed in Montgomery County Court on Jan. 21 alleges that the parents made misleading statements "that give the clear but false impression that Dr. Brown is corrupt, incompetent and possibly criminal." The suit also says the parents' association "sought to interfere with Cynwyd's contractual relationship with Agora by spreading untruths about Dr. Brown and by implying that she had improperly used public funds." Brown and Cynwyd are seeking more than $150,000 in damages for libel, slander and civil conspiracy. "The allegations are false," Gladys Stefany of Milton, Pike County, said in an e-mail yesterday. She said she learned about the suit last Tuesday when she was served with papers. 'Civil conspiracy' "When did asking for information that is or should be public information become 'civil conspiracy?' " asked Stefany, who has a 15-year-old daughter enrolled in Agora and is president of the parents' organization. "It is sad that it has come to this, but I'm happy we'll finally have the opportunity to air our case in the open and get answers to our questions." Stefany said the questions did not involve the school's academic program. She said she was more than satisfied with the instruction her special-needs daughter has received. News of the suit left several lawyers and education officials scratching their heads. "I haven't heard of a case of this sort in recent memory," Len Reiser, co-director of the Education Law Center in Center City, said yesterday. Lawyers from the Pennsylvania School Boards Association agreed. SLAPP suit? Angelique Smith of Aston and her husband, Ira, are among the six parents named in the complaint. She said she believed the case amounted to what is known as a "strategic lawsuit against public participation" (SLAPP) and was meant to intimidate and silence critics. "This is really about freedom of speech and freedom of association," Smith said. "This is akin to going to a regular public school and telling the PTA to get out." Brown referred all questions about the suit to her attorney, Wendy Beetlestone. Beetlestone said it was a defamation case and not a SLAPP suit. "In any kind of public discussion, you have to make sure that what you say is true and doesn't bring down the reputation of the person you're talking about," Beetlestone said. She said parents had failed to respond to requests to stop spreading information that she said defamed Brown. "June Brown is a highly respected and innovative educator and has been for many years," Beetlestone said. "When the debate turns to making false statements and doing everything they can to bring her down, she is left with no other option. That's what this lawsuit is about." Brown is the founder of three traditional charter schools in Philadelphia. In 2005, she and Brien N. Gardiner, founder of the Philadelphia Academy Charter School in Northeast Philadelphia, co-founded Agora to provide online home instruction to students across the state. The school Web site listed Gardiner as a co-founder, but his name was removed in May after he became the subject of a federal criminal investigation at Philadelphia Academy and was fired from his consulting position at the charter. The lawsuit against the parents claims Gardiner "had no role in founding Agora and his name does not appear in Agora's application for a charter or in subsequent organizational documents." Brown's lawsuit also charges that Agora parents tried to imply that she "was guilty of some financial wrongdoing on the basis of her association with Gardiner." Records show that Brown and Gardiner did business together. In 2005, they established Cynwyd Group as an educational management company, state records show. In November 2007, the company paid $1.9 million to buy a property at 60 Chestnut Ave., Tredyffrin, that houses the Agora headquarters. The relationship between Gardiner and Brown was severed in May 2008. Gardiner and others were removed from Philadelphia Academy in May. An int
Should thousands of illegals be living in public housing while thousands of Americans wait on lists 4 years ? PHOENIX -- A loophole in federal law is enabling hundreds of illegal immigrants to live in homes subsidized by U.S. taxpayers, while thousands of others linger on waiting lists to get into those same units. Those waiting lists are so long that most of them have been frozen for years, meaning people can't even submit an application for public housing. In Arizona, hundreds of those units are occupied by people who aren't even U.S. citizens. The Salazar family has lived in a four-bedroom Phoenix public housing apartment for the past six years -- all 10 of them. Their rent is only $150 a month and subsidized by the U.S. government, even though both parents are illegal immigrants from Mexico. "They were not going to give it to my mom because she wasn't born here, but then they said, 'Yeah, since you have a U.S. born person,' she was able to get it," said the couple's 14-year-old daughter Miriam. Federal law dictates that as long as one member of the family is in the U.S. legally, the rest of the family can join them in public housing, even though the government only subsidizes the legal residents. The Salazars fit the typical scenario -- parents here illegally, who have had children on American soil. "It's deplorable, just deplorable," said Michelle Dallacroce, an outspoken opponent of illegal immigration. She said she is outraged that her tax dollars are being used this way "There are waiting lists right now with American families trying to get into public housing and they are being turned away because illegal aliens are living in public housing," she said. In Arizona there are 7,000 public housing units, and in Phoenix alone, HUD says there are almost 16,000 families on its waiting list. HUD said statewide 622 units are currently housing illegal immigrants, only 9 percent of its total. Yet it only took CBS 5 News five minutes in one Phoenix project to find two families who fit the bill -- the Salazars, and even their next-door neighbors, illegal immigrants from Guatemala, with three American-born children. "Where is INS?" Dallacroce said. "Where is our government? Where are they?" Not one government agency CBS 5 News contacted would go on camera. The Bureau of Citizenship and Immigration Services declined and said it's not its job to be critical of other federal agencies. And even HUD would only issue a statement via e-mail, saying, "HUD only provides subsidy for individuals with legal status."http://www.kpho.com/news/18451472/detail.html?rss=pho&psp=news
How do I remove a g-mail screen name from the pull-down menu? I don't want to delete the account, just remove it from the pull down menu on a public computer. I tried clearing the history and cookies but the names are still in Firefox's pull-down menu when you click the field it shows the list of screen names entered previously. Clearing private data doesn't work and reinstalling firefox every time is a ridiculous suggestion.

After running CS&T, we cannot make any changes (ie renaming specimens, experiments) we first have to exit and relaunch the software. Logging out does not work. I have discussed this with our local service rep and also one of the software specialists who came in for local training and demos, and no one has offered a 'fix'. Tricia L Nilles Research Specialist Flow Cytometry Laboratory Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health In November of 2007 Kanecki Associates Inc developed the FCS Cytopro to resolve the Memory issues with the Diva Software after a request from one person at BD. 10 Million Events By 40 Parameters with all 128 Permeations. As of today’s posts on the Purdue Cytometry Mail List the issues still exist. Since are not allowed on the Purdue Cytometry Mail List and have ISAC Congress Executives blocking us from the market we would like to make BD and all other Corporations, Hospitals, Universities, etc. aware that we can LICENSE A PATCH that will resolve the issues in BD's DIVA software. We are willing to work with BD and are unaware if they knew of the one person’s prior request or even what was done with the software once the one person from BD received it. We will send a letter to BD's corporate office to notify them we are willing to work with the corporation if they wish. We did develop the code and are willing to work directly with BD if they wish to compile it to the troubled software to end all the issues. http://groups.google.as/group/misc.health.aids/browse_thread/thread/767c1beb7621f3ea#
Is this means that Guiliani won already ? explain this to me ? lookn at this http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/pages/rosnerPage.jhtml http://www.haaretz.com/hasen/spages/759119.html Israel’s Government has thrown its weight behind efforts by supporters to counter what it believes to be negative bias .The Foreign Ministry has ordered trainee diplomats to track websites and chatrooms so that networks of US and European groups with hundreds of thousands of Jewish activists can place supportive messages. In the past week nearly 5,000 members of the World Union of Jewish Students (WUJS) have downloaded special “megaphone” software that alerts them to anti-Israeli chatrooms or internet polls to enable them to post contrary viewpoints. A student team in Jerusalem combs the web in a host of different languages to flag the sites so that those who have signed up can influence an opinion survey or the course of a debate. Doron Barkat, 29, in Jerusalem, spends long nights trawling the web to try to swing the debate Israel’s way. “When I see internet polls for or against Israel I send out a mailing list to vote for Israel,” he said. “It can be that after 15 minutes there will be 400 votes for Israel. Israel’s Foreign Ministry must avoid direct involvement with the campaign but is in contact with international Jewish and evangelical Christian groups, distributing internet information packs. Amir Gissin, the Israeli Foreign Ministry’s public relations director, said: “The internet’s become a leading tool for news, shaping the world view of millions. that plus AIPAC efforts ---and the owners of our news media------it sound like deal done already---what do u think ??
Frightening emails!!!? I have been receiving emails on my charter account, usually by someone with a ____@cbonet.com I dont know who they are, but I've dug through, and they're all about some sort of watch, but at the bottom, there's stuff like "pickpocket if I had remained in the public service a year or two. no stove-pipe hats nor patent-leather boots, nor anything else necessary bodily pain. The Indians robbed the coach of everything it contained, it was not very prepossessing. We did not tarry long to observe it, but" It doesnt make any sense. And the emails dont make any sense, but when I go to send a reply asking to be taken off their mailing list, it says there is no such email adress!! And There is no writing on the bottom to be taken off the mailing list either. But the email adress changes everytime, and the "Subject" is usually a random word, or phrase, the "To" box is never to me, it's always to another random adress!!

Is there an IPO listing out there? I work for a financial company that mails proxy materials for shareholders, and was wondering if there is a service or a public listing out there that shows which companies will become publicly traded whether its on an exchange or the OTC. We would like to proactively get in touch with the companies and tell them about our services at the beginning of their transition to becoming public. There are a lot of rules and regulations a company that becomes public must follow and we want to make sure they are guided in the right direction by offering our services to them. If any one has an idea or can point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Getting SMTP to work? I've worked and worked and I'm getting all the right responses from the SMTP app I have put on a local computer I have on my home network. I want to be able to use this server to work a mailing list with some of my custom software. I'm not asking for an alternative way to make this work, I'm asking for a way to make this work. I'm using ArGoSoft mail server on Windows XP. I think my problem has something to do with the DNS server, I've tried setting the DNS server address to be my router, and I've also tried to set it to smtp.gmail.com as well as the public DNS 4.2.2.1 and 4.2.2.2. I'm testing it right now using my own email address as the recipient, but even though I'm receiving all the right responses from ArGoSoft on both Telnet as well as my programs, I'm not receiving the emails in my gmail account. Any settings I can change or port forwarding I need to do to get it out to the internet? I just need a one-way SMTP going out, no need for POP3 or anything incoming. I know this sounds like I'm making a spam server, but I plan on ethical uses for this server. Please, no flaming.
How do you feel about the MD. State police who classified 53 nonviolent activists as terrorists? That were subsequently added to the no-fly list. Police Superintendent Terrence B. Sheridan revealed at a legislative hearing that the surveillance operation, which targeted opponents of the death penalty and the Iraq war, was far more extensive than was known when its existence was disclosed in July. The department started sending letters of notification Saturday to the activists, inviting them to review their files before they are purged from the databases, Sheridan said. "The names don't belong in there," he told the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee. "It's as simple as that." The surveillance took place over 14 months in 2005 and 2006, under the administration of former governor Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. (R). The former state police superintendent who authorized the operation, Thomas E. Hutchins, defended the program in testimony yesterday. Hutchins said the program was a bulwark against potential violence and called the activists "fringe people." Sheridan said protest groups were also entered as terrorist organizations in the databases, but his staff has not identified which ones. Stunned senators pressed Sheridan to apologize to the activists for the spying, assailed in an independent review last week as "overreaching" by law enforcement officials who were oblivious to their violation of the activists' rights of free expression and association. The letter, obtained by The Washington Post, does not apologize but admits that the state police have "no evidence whatsoever of any involvement in violent crime" by those classified as terrorists. Hutchins told the committee it was not accurate to describe the program as spying. "I doubt anyone who has used that term has ever met a spy," he told the committee. "What John Walker did is spying," Hutchins said, referring to John Walker Jr., a communications specialist for the U.S. Navy convicted of selling secrets to the Soviet Union. Hutchins said the intelligence agents, whose logs were obtained by the American Civil Liberties Union of Maryland as part of a lawsuit, were monitoring "open public meetings." His officers sought a "situational awareness" of the potential for disruption as death penalty opponents prepared to protest the executions of two men on death row, Hutchins said. "I don't believe the First Amendment is any guarantee to those who wish to disrupt the government," he said. Hutchins said he did not notify Ehrlich about the surveillance. Ehrlich spokesman Henry Fawell said the governor had no comment. Hutchins did not name the commander in the Division of Homeland Security and Intelligence who informed him in March 2005 that the surveillance had begun. More than a year later, after "they said, 'We're not getting much here,' " Hutchins said he cut off what he called a "low-level operation." But Sen. James Brochin (D-Baltimore County) noted that undercover troopers used aliases to infiltrate organizational meetings, rallies and group e-mail lists. He called the spying a "deliberate infiltration to find out every piece of information necessary" on groups such as the Maryland Campaign to End the Death Penalty and the Baltimore Pledge of Resistance. When Hutchins called their members "fringe people," the audience of activists who filled the seats in the hearing room in Annapolis sighed. http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2008/10/07/AR2008100703245_pf.html
Why do I keep receiving offline messages from chatters I don't know? For some reason, everytime I sign on to Yahoo Messenger, I have a whole bunch of offline messages waiting for me from people (Asian women, mostly) I'd never chatted with before. Most of them seem to think I'm online at the time and that I'm ignoring them since I don't reply. For example, I'll get a string of message like this: Judy_Filipina: Hiiiiiiiii!!! Judy_Filipina: asl Judy_Filipina: pls chat with me Judy_Filipina: u there? I can only think of three possible reasons for this. #1 - The people I've been chatting with are in public cafes and leave screen name up for the next person. #2 The people I've chatted with have shared my screen name with others or have put me on some sort of massive mailing list. #3 - Some kind of computer glitch with YM that keeps me signed in even when I sign out. My friend Cherry seems to think I'm online and ignoring her from time to time. What gives?

Which of these is the most important story? A republican senators indiscretions (no Im not trying to exonerate this guy) or a presidential candidates that has previous issues with Chinese campaign contributions also being tied to a Chinese grand theft fugitive. Since this story has been on the back burner here is the story for those not aware Norman Hsu, a prominent Democratic fundraiser who has funnelled hundreds of thousands of dollars into Hillary Clinton's Senate campaigns and pledged to raise $100,000 for her presidential bid has been a fugitive from justice for 15 years. In 1992, he pleaded no contest to charges of grand theft and agreed to serve three years in jail. But something funny happened on the way to prison; he never showed up: Since 2004, one Norman Hsu has been carving out a prominent place of honor among Democratic fundraisers. He has funneled hundreds of thousands of dollars in campaign contributions into party coffers, much of it earmarked for presidential hopeful Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton of New York. In addition to making his own contributions, Hsu has honed the practice of assembling packets of checks from contributors who bear little resemblance to the usual Democratic deep pockets: A self-described apparel executive with a variety of business interests, Hsu has focused on delivering hefty contributions from citizens who live modest lives and are neophytes in the world of campaign giving. It gets better. Apparently, Mr. Hsu "forgot" that he is a convicted felon: On Tuesday, E. Lawrence Barcella Jr. -- a Washington lawyer who represents the Democratic fundraiser -- confirmed that Hsu was the same man who was involved in the California case. Barcella said his client did not remember pleading to a criminal charge and facing the prospect of jail time. Hsu remembers the episode as part of a settlement with creditors when he also went through bankruptcy, Barcella said. The Wall Street Journal has some interesting facts about Hsu and his donors: Yesterday, The Wall Street Journal reported that a modest home in a middle-class San Francisco suburb, where the family of mail carrier William Paw resides, is listed as the address for many contributions to the Clinton campaign. Mr. Hsu once listed the home as his address, according to public records, and the Paws' donations closely tracked his. Hsu is known in fundraising circles as a "bundler" - someone who collects checks from large groups of wealthy donors and presents them to the campaign. Since many of these checks and donors list one single address of a house in a San Francisco suburb, suspicion is that most of that money could be Hsus' and that he either created many donors or re-imbursed contributors for their donations. Hillary's troubles with another big contributor, Peter Paul, and a star studded gala fundraiser for her Senate campaign that was improperly reported to the FEC resulted in large fines. One begins to wonder just how many other fundraising scandals involving Hillary Clinton are out there just waiting to be discovered. dont really need to post the story of Craig. you can click on every other question in this section. that would be the point. I want to know why in the last two days there have been more than likely 1000 question with a subject of Craig. and people in here are saying this story is made up without a source. that is quite odd to me.

One top white house aide linked in above scandal was killed, or he disappeared by death or in a broader conspiracy he was removed from scene of investigations of said scandal many members of we the people lost millions in the deceiving operation of whitewater.reinvestigation is demanded to all law enforcement authorities of usa or stat of arkansas. only one thing i found of the investigatioins. illfamed hillary has been trying nowto steal fame among people by intending to be u s democrat president by causing public sentiment thatshe was woman and a woman presidentshoule b elected. The problem with hillary is she is doubtful, deficient in honesty and she is no proven leader to take as big responsibility of us president. a diffent story is for inability of barrak hussain obama. He is half black no doubt.. he is an opportunist without any question. he changed his religious faith from islam to christianity for privilege to hiself. He changed his nam, partly He changed his economic status by making ponzi crime deal of buying reidential hom with sweet_heart deal with a would be felon as alleged, now in jail and 199% sure he did not pay i r s taxes from illegal bargain for turning himself to be millionaire. Now he is trying to prove that he was leader likejfk or martin luther king jr . He is nothing but oratory magician He is a junk_patrio of usa. He needed clean up his face to show himself clearly to we the people. barrack hussain obama did hear sermon from rev wright which was apparently anti american_terrorist,s voice in usa. as religious leader wright could utter words against some oppressions of black community in usa. his talk was immune under freedom of expression and especillyu wright spoke in court of presumed god christ. But obama's fke renouncement of his 20 years of close relationship with rev right make obama a very devious man as he attended sermons , say , without feeling goo or bad about it whether patriotic or anti american. dump hillary or obama, white majority in usa , yu as a group in human civilization have been excellent selector or a leader like washington, lincoln, roosevelt of reagan, w , then why u sould pick up a counterfeit leader, who be a woman like hillary or black like obama. U could draft a better black person or a better woman to beyour leader if u find it harder to find an optimally good and talented patriot for the job of u s president . look around u may find a true leader for u. from 1. 20. 2009. New to 360 -- need help w/ friends settings? I revised my primary e-mail address but the change is not reflected on my 360 invite. It's been approximately 24hours, will you explain why the invite is unchanged? Second, why is the primary address listed as public info? I keep selecting my primary address as only available to friends but it hasn't changed. Third, why can't I change the way my name appears? I want to make my name available to friends only. THANKS FOR THE HELP!
Fermo, Italy? I would like to know if there are any good English schools in or near to the Town of Fermo in Le Marche, Italy?? I'm an English teacher and I would like to work in this town or as near it as possible. Any school names with contact info (e-mail/website would be best), even if it is a list of public schools that provide English classes (does not have to be private schools). Grazie!!
What is the White House hiding ? RE: Harriet Myers ? http://judiciary.house.gov/Printshop.aspx?Section=523 Link above > complete list of e-mails and correspondence collected by the house judiciary committee thus far, as well as an index of e-mails the white house has refused to provide. This is very lengthy but eye-opening in regards to the level of White House control over the DOJ. It outlines public response tactics, the specific plan for replacing USA's with minimal "cost to the white house". During these e-mails Harriet Myers has alot of contact with Alberto Gonzales, in regards to replacing USA's and how he should respond to any public calls or inquiries by congress. One of the USA's which were dismissed had an ongoing investigation of Karl Rove. A letter to Alberto Gonzales on that particular issue has still not been answered. Harriet Myers has the most correspondence on here.....some of these e-mails have redacted words......words like "the president", or "the white house" or, "Rove" may be removed in some of them. The executive branch has the authority to make appointments, and to dismiss attorneys....however, the DOJ is supposed to operate administratively seperate fromt he White House. "Seperation of power". This is the issue here. Most important is the firings are directly related to ongoing investigations into GOP members, so they are basically retaliatory firings....which is unethical and illegal.

Defend Your Country, have IL State take all your money for Child Support. Is this fair? Fighting for his country; fighting against Ill. Thursday, July 24, 2008 | 5:05 PM By Chuck Goudie (WLS) -- It is a story of fractured families, empty bank accounts and missing money. When the I-Team received an email from Army Sergeant Joshua Hinkle a few weeks ago, it first caught our attention because it was sent from Camp Bucca in Iraq. The soldier wrote that he was suffering a great injustice: the state of Illinois, he claimed, had cleaned out his entire bank account for child support. "They went into my bank account and they took it, they took it down to the penny," said Hinkle, who's with the Illinois National Guard. The I-Team spoke with Sergeant Hinkle by a webcam link-up, after he had provided bank records and military pay stubs that seemed to back up his serious allegations. "The state of Illinois child collection support, child collection agency basically stole $4,000 from me without any notification or anything for child support they say I owe and I disagree with," Hinkle said. As you might imagine, the situation is slightly more complex. Hinkle, of the Quad Cities, has been stationed in Basra province for the past seven months. It is his second Iraq tour. Hinkle was first there as a regular army officer when the war began. He has a son, 10-year-old Cody. "I had a child very young; we were still in high school. And, uh, once I joined active duty, we set up the child support payment system and we've had problems with them ever since," Hinkle said. And he has a 2-year-old daughter, Scarlett. His children have different mothers. Hinkle says, and the state agrees, that he kept up with all required child support payments except for a period between assignments in Iraq, when he struggled with employment. Since being back on the military's payroll as a reservist, full child support, including installments for the missed payments, have been withdrawn from his Army paychecks until June, when the state put a lien on his bank account and took it all. "I don't know how it is legal. Even if I was at home, how is it legal to take 100 percent of my income?" Hinkle said. It is legal for the state to take whatever money he makes until it's all paid. An email sent to Hinkle in Iraq from the Illinois Division of Child Support says, "We show the past due debt to be $15,291.78, which is a total due for two separate child support cases." Even though what Hinkle owes in back pay qualifies him for the public list of deadbeat dads, his picture isn't on it. But as the state Web site promises, the child support division will use all available enforcement tools to collect, regardless of whether a person is serving in Iraq. "In the case of, certainly, this soldier, it sounds like they're not acting in the best interests of the child by financially trying to destroy one of the parents," said Mark Schario, American Coalition for Fathers and Children. Child support experts say Hinkle and other GIs stationed overseas have no recourse, nor are they protected by laws intended to make sure soldiers do not lose jobs and other benefits while serving. "I've contacted them on numerous occasions," Hinkle said. "I've emailed them. They emailed me once. Every time I call I'm on hold for approximately 20 to 40 minutes and over here, that is a long time because we have to use phone cards." "That soldier is serving in Iraq and can't be back here to represent himself that's not by his choice, he's serving his country," Schario said. "It has definitely made life stressful over here," Hinkle said. "I hate checking my bank account. I hate checking my email. We work 12 hours a day, six days a week. And it has, it's made life really unbearable over here." The state initially sent a generic statement praising those in the military but noting the importance of paying child support: "The Department of Healthcare and Family Services has the utmost respect and admiration for those who protect and defend our nation overseas. Illinois state law gives the Department the authority to help parents receive the child support they deserve, and the law provides multiple avenues to help us do that. While we are cognizant of the concerns some may have when forced to pay child support, it is important to remember that the money is going to support their children." On Wednesday in Iraq, Sergeant Hinkle received an e-mail from the state informing him he now owes more than $18,000 in back payments and that if he disagrees, he should send them evidence from Iraq. Most puzzling is what happened to all that money the state seized from his account in June. The boy's mother said she hasn't seen any of it. What Did ISAC CONGRESS J Paul Robinson say Could Create Havoc & Shut the Purdue Cytometry Mail List Down!? From: J. Paul Robinson <j...@flowcyt.cyto.purdue.edu> Date: Mon Mar 31 2008 - 01:18:05 EDT From J. Paul Robinson - Moderator Robert is right - there is too much politics and not enough science... What is happening here, is that there are too many cooks. Let me make it very clear that we work hard to keep this list clean. It does not always work. When we identify a failure, we usually respond to the person concerned and don't waste all your time. We frequently note in our posts, that advertising is not allowed. This list was developed from 2 or 3 individuals who actually had email in 1990, to 3000 over the past 19 years. It did not happen by chance, nor was it overnight. It was developed with a lot of cost ($$$), a lot of time, and what was a pretty darned good idea when it started. We don't tolerate people who try to damage the list. Now that it's highly successful, there are a number of individuals that are trying to either circumvent the list, use it for their own purposes, or simply sideline it. There are even some proposing that they should be able to manipulate the list and its contents in any forum for any purpose. I am really shocked at this rather callous approach to a scientific discussion board. I am not making public those individuals or their companies, but if I am pushed, I will identify them publicly. If I do so, and they create havoc, it could shut the list down - or end up in a nasty legal battle. I don't suppose that would be popular? So, it seems to me, that we need to get back to basics and focus on the reason this list has been so successful (and why you all want to use it for advertising - or even why those who what to hijack it...) - it does a good if not great job overall. thanks for your support - all 3000 of you ...well most of you! Clearly we will provide a mechanism for companies to provide a means for communication....it's on our list... Maybe I am getting too old for all this abuse....! regards Paul Robinson Purdue University Robert J. Is this a shocking article? Irreconcilable Differences Page 3 Spirit of anti-Semitism: Stormfront founder Don Black and neo-Nazi David Duke go back to the 1970s, when Black was Duke's Alabama grand dragon in the Knights of the Ku Klux Klan. Today, Black is married to Duke's ex-wife and a father figure to Duke's two daughters. Rejecting the Nazis Virtually all those who denounced anti-Semitism and "Nazis" had no such compunctions when it came to people of color, particularly blacks. Herschel Elias, for instance, told the Intelligence Report that as a Jewish substitute teacher in public schools near Philadelphia, "I'm very disappointed with black people. Black kids are the worst kids." But he added that he now saw the conference as a "Nazi front." Another Jew, retired University of Illinois political science professor Robert Weissberg, was a long-time supporter of American Renaissance who spoke at two conferences. In 2000, he argued that Jews and blacks despise one another, but that Jews are even more afraid of white nationalists and so had tended to support policies that empower minorities. Weissberg told the Report that he considered Taylor a friend and had been to his house "on several occasions." But he went on to say that Duke was a "tax evader" (Duke recently served time in federal prison for mail fraud and tax violations) and "provocateur," and that his Stormfront allies were "losers." He said that both Duke and the Stormfronters should be "disinvited" by Taylor. The list goes on. In separate interviews with the Intelligence Report, numerous "academic racists" complained of the neo-Nazi element at the conference. • Michael Levin, a Jewish philosophy professor at the City University of New York who has spoken four times at American Renaissance conferences, said that there was "anti-Semitism among members of AR" and that this was part of the reason he did not attend the 2006 edition. (However, Levin still plugs his black-bashing book, Why Race Matters, in ads in American Renaissance.) • Paul Gottfried, a humanities professor with Jewish ancestry at Elizabethtown (Penn.) College, spoke to the conference in 1998 and has published in American Renaissance. But he said he is dismayed at the current situation. "I cannot imagine any advantage to anyone to have these people there," he said. • William Regnery, the extreme-right publisher who also founded and financially backs the Charles Martel Society and the National Policy Institute, dismissed Duke's anti-Semitism, saying simply, "We don't sanction it." • Gordon Baum, the St. Louis-based CEO of the racist Council of Conservative Citizens, has Taylor on his editorial board and fights to preserve the "racial integrity" of white people. But, he said, the CCC welcomes Jews. And, adding that the CCC has no interest in "skinheads," Baum rapped Duke for believing that "race isn't even important, all that is important is the Jewish issue." • Baum's new editor for the CCC's publication, Citizens Informer, seconded his boss' opinions. "Attacking people with Jewish lines of descent is complete nonsense," Joel LeFevre told the Report, adding that he was "very put off by Mr. Duke's behavior" at the conference. Separately, LeFevre wrote on the AR List that Duke and his "puerile loser" followers should be banned. "Duke has his own conference where he can rant about the Jews all he wants," he said. • Jared Taylor, too, spoke to the Report, saying, "European Jews are certainly welcome" at American Renaissance conferences. "I don't think that Jews are the enemy in the way that some people do." As a matter of fact, Taylor came out against Nazism as early as 1983, in his book, Shadows of the Rising Sun: A Critical View of the 'Japanese Miracle', where Germany was praised for outlawing national socialism. In addition, Jews write regularly in American Renaissance and have spoken at every one of its conferences. At the Crossroads Two months after the conference, on April 14, Jared Taylor went public. Responding to a letter from a group of supporters including several Jews, he posted a statement to his website that seemed to take clear sides. Under the title, "Jews and American Renaissance," Taylor said that Jews "have a valuable role" to play, and told those who didn't agree that they had the choice of "staying home" or of keeping their anti-Semitism private. He wrote that American Renaissance's role is to rescue white civilization, not dig up a "Jewish conspiracy." And Taylor explicitly rebuked Duke, saying his "disgraceful behavior" would not be tolerated in the future. Within 48 hours, Taylor's statement had generated 168 responses. Two days later, there were more than 300. The reaction from anti-Semites was harsh, with many claiming that their erstwhile ally was actually in the pay of "the Jews." Cal Rogers, an American Renaissance staffer who headed up an E-mail list of Taylor critics, quit the group, saying he was "diametrically opposed" to Taylor's views. Jess David Peterson wrote in to say that Taylor's writings had been removed from Peterson's Nationalist Party USA website. On Stormfront, Elena Haskins, a hate website proprietress, scoffed at those "who require their friend the rabbi to pat them on their heads and tushies." Ron Doggett, a Duke factotum, suggested Taylor was unfortunately sending America's anti-Semites packing. Don Black called Taylor's statement "disastrous." Another neo-Nazi said it was "a devastating miscalculation." At the same time, Taylor was being lobbied by Jews and others who argued that the only way forward for American Renaissance was to drop those with neo-Nazi leanings entirely. Members of this group included many of the brighter minds -- or better educated ones, anyway -- that have come into the white nationalist world in recent years, and their relative prestige would be hard for Taylor to give up. It's not clear how the situation will wind up. Taylor has now publicly rejected anti-Semitic views, but he hasn't banned anti-Semites from his conferences. What is certain is that it will be painful for Taylor to definitively eject the anti-Semites -- Duke, Black and their neo-Nazi allies are among the most committed and serious workers in the American radical right, people who have arguably done far more for "the movement" than all the racist professors who travel to American Renaissance conferences put together. But he seems to be personally uninterested in conspiracy theories about the Jews, and in any case sees clearly that anti-Semitism will likely destroy any faint hope that American Renaissance has to gain mainstream respectability. Taylor could try to pursue a middle road – espousing, for instance, the anti-Semitic teachings of Kevin MacDonald, which avoid neo-Nazi language in favor of the academic veneer of "evolutionary biology." Or he could break with the neo-Nazis and their allies, even though Taylor is connected to many of them through dense ties of friendship and organizational alliances. The outcome may be critical to the future of the American radical right. American Renaissance has become increasingly important over the years, bringing a measure of intellectualism and seriousness to the typically thug-dominated world of white supremacy. Today, it may be the closest thing the extreme right has to a real think tank. Whether or not it survives, and in what form, genuinely matters.
