How do i stop pasted number lists from continuing the numbers from the previous list?
Whenever i copy and paste a numbered list in MS Word, it automatically sets the list to continue from the last number of the previous list unless i specifically go and say "Restart numbering". Is there any way i can turn off this auto "correction" ?? I need them to be pasted as new lists.

- you may try this one, before you paste the new list press enter three times to move the cursor down first then you may now paste the list with its original numbering. hope this could help you at least it will cut some steps.
- With Word XP (2002) and possibly adjacent versions, right-click in the pasted list and select "Restart Numbering." Alternatively, 1. Click in the pasted list. 2. Click the Format->Bullets and Numbering menu item. 3. Click the Restart Numbering radio button. 4. Click OK. That should do it.
