Was the Turner Diaries ever put on the banned books list? If so what year?

I'm doing a project for school and the ALA web site doesn't say it was.

1. What do you think "the banned books list" is? Books banned by the government of your country? Your school? Your school district? Your local libraries? Your church? There is no one single "banned books list".
2. Books are banned by individual school systems or libraries. There is no national/state ban on any book, not in the US anyway. Others than those kept by individual libraries or school systems there is no "banned book list" The ALA keeps a list of frequently challenged books and authors but not a listing of every book ever banned.
