i just dont know what to do?? i need advice from animals lovers!!?

i applied for a veterinary nursing course a couple of months ago. i want this course more than anything!!!!!!!!!!!!i have always loved animals of every kind reptiles to rodents, cats to horses even cows and pigs! i rescue animals all the time and at the age of 29 i have decided im going to a veterinary nurse. its hard i live in west cork and i have been unemployed for nearly 2 years its so hard to get work down here i have been on hundreds of interviews! i have manage shops in the past and i have an excellent CV but still no luck with work so i decided if i cant find a job i should go back to college! problem is the course i applied for there are only 80 places and over 500 people applied. i found out last week i was on the waiting list to get into the course i was delighted just to know they thought so highly of me to put me on the waiting list. i got a letter today and they offered me a place in the Canine Husbandry course NOT the Veterinary Nursing course. i dont know what to do!!! if i say no will it look bad if i have to apply for Veterinary Nursing again next year. money is so tight my boyfriend said he would help if i got the course i wanted but i cant afford to take this course and add another 1 onto an already 3 year course that i need to do to qualify for a veterinary nurse. what would you do??? take the course?? wait till i get the course i absolutely want??

  1. i would take the course if you want to do it then DO IT
  2. what exactly are you going to do for another year? so do the canine and the Veterinary one next year if the chance, either way you look keen, and if you dont get the vet' course you have the canine 1 qualification to fall back on good luck
  3. If you can't afford to do both courses then you have to make a choice. Either, do the canine husbandry course or wait a year and apply for the veterinary nursing course. If your heart's set on the veterinary nursing course I would personally wait a year and try again. Try and get a work placement at a vets and show how dedicated you are, there will be hundreds of applicants next year but maybe you will stand out more and have more chance if you can prove how dedicated you are. I can't guarantee this though, so the choice has to be yours in the end.
