How to get into Alternative Modeling?

Best Locations? Best Agencies? I used to be a child model [My mom don't ask] Then we moved, and Now I am almost 18. I have been dye-ing my hair crazy colours since I was in middle school-etc, but right now I have turquoise hair and my head is shaved on the side. When I've mentioned this to other people online about my interest for alternative modeling they sortof snicker and say-you can't just be an unfashionable mass of trip pants and black-But I am not, I wear thigh highs and massive heels and like studded jackets and similar tops-I have my own style. I would really appreciate some sites etc. Thank you.
