Is anyone actually "Proud to be an American" anymore?

It's quite obvious that our country has become somewhat of a joke. To other countries, societies, cultures, and even to ourselves. We are trillions of dollars in debt, we let obvious murderers go free, we are too politically correct, you can't say anything without offending somebody, our "structured" government can't even handle itself, it's impossible to trust anybody in higher power, the number of unemployed is staggering, our education system has dived in rankings, many of us abuse the system and the system abuses us.. yet we still love to judge and stick our nose in other people's business. The list goes on.. Society and government tell us to be proud to be an American, but quite frankly i'm just embarrassed. Does anyone else feel this way?

1. I'll be honest with you, when I see your news programs I do think it is ridiculous and arrogant how over the top patriotic your media tends to be. It is fairly laughable to the outside world. America is a good country, but it isn't perfect. I think it is good to be patriotic and strive for excellence, but don't let it blind you to the truth. If you do, you will find your country will be on a slippery slope. Being over patriotic can be especially dangerous in politics...

Failed education - yep Both of our countries are being fucked over. Oh guess what, Political correctness is what is the worst. In a small town in Northern England Christmas decorations were banned in the town center because it offended immigrants, and teachers didnt teach the holocaust because it offended some middle eastern beliefs. Ridiculous.

8. Does America actually stand for anything anymore? All the rest of the world sees is two constantly bickering political factions making a mess of the country by gridlocking the government. I don't think other countries would want to emulate that sort of broken system. America can only lead and stand first in the world if it provides a good example of wise governance and economic success.
9. In my eyes, people with the attitude you are expressing is one of the specific problems with the US. The mentality of being concerned about what others think of the US is pathetic. We should never do that, nor should we be giving them our money or be in their wars. 11. most of the world people do not hate American but they hate their selfish foreign one side policy. even American also not agree with it foreign policy about Israel. instead of wasting billions of dollar for the security of Israel and making all the world enemy just for one Israel why don’t America make a peace full solution of Israel-pal and save its money and make progress and restore its good image all over the world. yes American given many benefits to the world. but from the last 10 years when they started the duplicate war on terrorism destroyed their image all over the world
