How do you get a job as a video game tester?
I am a 16 year old kid who has a passion for video games. I have been searching on the internet how to land a job as one but it keeps telling me to join an online membership site where I can get instant access to latest jobs on offer from top gaming companies like Sony Corp, Microsoft and many more. But I don't know if it is a scam or not.

- Working as a video game tester is the equivalent of working in the mailroom of a big company. Long hours and the pay sucks. Do what I'm doing and go to college as game art designer or programmer
- Well it of course depends on where you are in the world, but for nearly all positions, you will have to pay a membership fee. You should not get into this thinking all your going to have to do is play games and scribble a few things down here and there. It is a job, and this means you will often have to put in long amounts of hours and this entails alot of stress on your part. A quick example of what you actually do is this: You run the game, go over the same room/area possibly decas of times, looking for any physics that seem off or look for areas where there isn't enough lighting or resources for you to find your way out, etc. You write down everything you do and what the outcome was. You must write down what you did and tell the devs how to reproduce the problem. This type of thing could soon venture into hundred of retries. This is a pretty modest profession, and you should not expect to be making any big buck anytime soon.
