Vocabulary List for D.E.L.E Diplomas de Español como Lengua Extranjera?

I want to do this test but it is vague as to what words will be needed to learn for each level. - how many words are required for each level? - Is there a website which lists the vocabulary?

That depends what level you're taking: http://www.dele.org/ It goes from A1 to C2 (ie. almost complete beginner up to native-like mastery), following the Common European Framework for Languages scale. Way better than learning vocabulary would be to learn functional language/phrases you can use in the situations you'll be tested on at each level (eg. simple self introductions and talking about family and hobbies, at lower levels, up to developing your opinions and narrating complex stories at higher levels).
