Could we ever be able to erase poverty and hunger in Africa, ? ( astrologically)?

Except for a few well developed African countries, a large part of the continent is still living in extreme poverty and hunger. Do you think those conditions could ever be erased ? Please, to your own observations and thinking, propose 3 to 5 steps / ways/ plans , that you think are necessary to deal with the situation ( could be political , religious, scientific etc ). Please also briefly elaborate your choosing. Please state your Sun and Moon signs and placements, your 6th and 11th house. Thanks in advance. BQ1 : do you think ( believe) if we combine the wealth of the world, then re-distributed it to everyone single person on this planet, everyone would be a millionair ? BQ2 : how often do you waste your food , knowing that there are parts of the worlds going to sleep in hunger and starvation ? Do ( have) you try not to waste it then , by adjusting your eating demands ? For BQ1 and 2, please state your Jupiter, Venus and Saturn placements and aspects ( you dont need to list them all, just ones that you think are necessary ) Thanks Good answers, Bree and Lion. Sorry I cant thumb up.

  1. As long as greed, imperialism, colonization, current economy is in place, no!
  2. I think that the only way to help these African nations is by education and access to jobs that benefit their own community directly. Education can free people who previously wouldn't have any power. Also, people need a purpose so therefore working and earning your own money is a positive way of giving the down trodden hope. There are a lot of factors to consider that make this issue intricately complex. I feel that there is no way of solving this problem running on compassion alone. I think that it's a nice idea to go to a country and want to solve all of their issues with an idealistic mind. But the government, the people themselves, the influence of their traditions, the modern day conflicts that ravage Africa, the environment; all of these factors need to be delicately considered and balanced. The only way countries in Africa are going to improve their quality of life is if the people go through a the process of self-actualisation. They need to realise that they can stand up for themselves and their country. For true change, Education is the only true key. But once it has been implemented into their society it may take several generation before it will start to make a difference. There are still generations suffering right now. In the mean time, I don't see anything wrong with foreigners doing their best to help out the crisis but I hope that they don't feel frustrated when they realise their efforts don't have the huge impact on the issues as they'd want them to have. In the end aid workers can't save everyone and solve the issues affecting the third world countries only the African people themselves are capable of doing this as i'd mentioned. But still, they can save the lives of a just a few and this is still an amazing achievement. BQ2: I'd admit that I do buy food that if I don't eat it straight away and once it looks kind of wilted I'd just throw the whole thing out. I can't drink milk of eat yogurt if it's been sitting in the fridge for more than 4-5 days -__- so yeah, I'm wasteful.
  3. Yes, except for a few developing nations in Africa, it is, by and large, a continent wrought with governmental corruption, lawlessness, disease and hardship. I will not name specific examples, but the news is full of examples, not the least of which is the rampant number of orphans from parents who have died of AIDS. I do not think that we will see these problems eradicated in our lifetimes, but, certainly, there is hope that a brighter future exists, and if the notion that what hurts the least of us, hurts all of us is able to make front and center stage, more effort will be done by more advanced / developed nations to take steps to improve living conditions in the form of aide, education and involvement. BQ1Eradicating poverty cannot simply be a matter of wealth redistribution, as we know that Marxism is good in theory but in reality, it doesn't work....and never will. Assisting in the form of donations is good and good for international relations on many levels, but it is temporary and does not provide the tools for autonomous, sustained living. Organizations Heifer International are wonderful because it provides not only those tools but education as well. Eradicating poverty also means that birth control must be a part of family planning.....for many reasons, including availability of protection and the unconscionable but prolific problem of rape, this is not happening. Eradicating poverty also means that education must go hand in hand with the elimination of corruption. Oprah had the right idea in setting up a girl's school, but without adequate oversight and supervision of those in charge, allegations of exploitation ensued. This is where actual involvement must be assumed in providing relief in the form of education. Finally, corruption must be curtailed at the level of leadership. That comes from a foundation of individual security moving into these positions of power. The US is still struggling in this regard but there are laws in place which minimize and penalize violators. BQ2: too often I waste food, but I do say grace before each meal to give God thanks for our abundance and also to provide comfort to those who are suffering from hunger everywhere in the world.
