How to make a picture drop down menu on tumblr?

When you go on someones blog and it say's click the image.. (e.g a penguin) and then once you click it, a list of links slide down. I know how to do this and i have done it but.. because the image i want to click on to slide the links down is uploaded by tinpic, when you click on the picture it takes you to tinypic in another tab. How do i stop it from doing this? Or, how do i upload the picture without using tinypic?

1. I was having some trouble earlier, but I just used my links from http://photobucket.com And even then, I won't lose the link if I accidentally forget it. I can just go back there and it has all of them saved. Plus they have privacy settings. o; So yeah, rather than tinypic.com, use photobucket.com (: Hopefully that will help!
