Do I have to take General Studies in order to get in the Pre-Nursing program in college?

Do I have to take General Studies in order to get in the Pre-Nursing program in college? I do have a High School Diploma, I do not know what Pre-Nursing requires. I am a freshman. I took the Compass Placement tests and want me to take 5 classes(General Studies). Which is not in the Pre-Nursing Classes list. Help me out please?

1. maybe those subjects which are not listed in the pre-nursing classes list are prerequisites of the actual pre-nursing subjects. you need to take them to give the university the enough proof that you can really do good with your desired course.
