I get in fights with my mom how do I stop?

It is my fault. But I am always making her mad. It's about 1 fight a day now. I feel horrible. I love my mom to death but I don't know what to do. I am just a mean person I'll say something mean to my brother or mom and it starts a fight. I realized if I can't say anything nice don't say it at all, so I tried that but she got mad because she thought I wasn't listing to her. Please help me!

  1. Move out. I used to fight with my mom. Alooooooooooot. When I moved out we became cool with each other. If that's not an option, try not being 15.
  2. You could take anger management classes or family therapy. Tell your mom that you want to do that.
  3. Just try to keep your cool when you are around your brother or mother and then say yes or no and walk away. If they ask you why you walk away, say that you are trying to be nice and you dont want to argue with them or anyone and this is how you are doing that, keeping the peace. Maybe your school counselor can give you advice on how to handle this. Ask them and they may be able to help you.
  4. One thing I found out is that I get into fights a lot easier whenever I consume caffeinated beverages such as coffee, tea or caffeinated sodas. Try tapering off the caffeine (do this gradually over a week or two) and see if it helps you retain your calm. Another thing that will help you with this and in many areas of life is to meditate 15 minutes a day. Meditation gives you good control over your moods, but you have to do it every day for many months before you start to reap the benefit.
