Is there any good to do list program fro windows?

As the tittle suggests im looking for a to do list. My original plan was to just code one myself so before i spend any time doing that i want to know if a good one already exists. I would like it to be able to hold a list of things to do, which can be marked as complete or whatever, i would also love if it could notify or me something. To be honest, any old to do list would work, just as long as its run on windows and not in a browser. also, if its part calender than whatever, but i dont want it to be mostly a calendar. thanks in advance! Ok... i checked the outlook one out and would prefer something else

1. One already exists in Microsoft outlook task manager. Not the best product but it works.
