what could be the reasons do you delete someone from your facebook list?

because you don't talk to them or they are just there and they don't comment in your wall? I have many people like that and rarely I see some comments from them? what do you do? most of them are people who were my classmates in high school and friends from internet but I just have two friends from my new classes now and stuff like that

1. It doesnt hurt to keep them
2. when your mad at them and dont want anything to do with them
3. I delete based off of what I see them posting. If they only post negative comments, then they don't last long. Many family members have been booted off of my friends list this way. There is enough negativity in the world without 'friends' constantly bringing me down.
4. I delete them if I've only met them like once or never talk to them or if they send me too many farmville (and silly games like that) requests.
5. @steph you dont seem like a goo dfriend at all when your friends are down your suppose to like them throught thick and thin there just being a human, and second they may be going through a hard time in their life just because your life is all find and dandy, but instead of deleting them ask them whats worng, because thats just being selfish to me. Good reasons to delete someone: 1. they are nosey and ask to many question to find out what they can use aganist you or gossip about 2. you just plain dont like the person maybe a co worker or supervisor 3. they keep posting things that degrade someones race or sex 4. They lie about who they are 5. They ignore you when you try to say hi 6. The ignore you when you try to say hi in public 7. They are your family and snicth on everything bad you say on facebook
6. I delete people if I don't care about the things that they post, it wouldn't be socially awkward to delete them, and we don't communicate on Facebook.
7. If anyone who don't talk with me i delete him/her from my friend list.
