  1. Competition? Well, to be fair, those guys were certainly talented and achieved some amazing things in their careers. Take George Mikan for example. He is definitely regarded as a top 50 player of All-Time, yet he would struggle to make a basket in the modern game. However, Mikan had great success in his era and helped to shape the modern NBA. Without him, the game would be a lot different. Impact is something that is very valuable when ranking players. What about Wilt Chamberlain? He would not average 50 ppg in today's NBA but he did some amazing things in the 60s and should be respected for it. His accolades and dominance earn him a place on the top 10 list in my book. One guy who I think would still be effective is Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Jabbar's sky hook was practically unstoppable. I have no doubt he would still be a great player today and this is one of the reasons why I have him at number 2 All-Time behind Michael Jordan.
