How to apply live background?

I have a sanyo zio and I just downloaded a few live backgrounds but I cant find them to apply them, when I go to the apps list it says they were downloaded but I cant find them as icons, wallpapers or in my gallery :/ how do I apply one? I have already looked in wallpapers and my gallery for them, they are not showing up.
