Is making a list of symptoms and past medications good to do for a new psychiatrist?

I was diagnosed with schizoaffective disorder last year. And I haven't been able to get consistent treatment until these past couple of months. I've been to like.. 5 doctors and I just don't like them. I have a new doctor appointment in the morning. Is making a list of everything good to do so she can understand more easily? I always end up forgetting something. I'm kinda scared to do that because I don't want her to think I'm stupid for giving her a list or something. :(

  2. Yes, that's. Very good idea. Another idea is to keep sorta like a journal of how you felt that day.
  3. Anytime you go to a new doctor of any specialty you need to be able to tell them what you have taken in the past.
  4. amber, thats a really good idea. i do that to. i go to the doctor and forget everything. she wont think your stupid she will think youre smart for having a good head on your shoulders to write evrything down. its a very good idea. and i hope this doctor helps you! i give you credit for trying to find the right one. sometimes it can take awhile. so, i hope shes the one that can give you some relief. good luck and god bless you.
  5. It could be a good thing to do if you are concerned about forgetting and it makes you feel more comfortable. She won't think your stupid for making a list.
