How do I copy music from Windows Media Player library to an external hard drive?

How do I transfer media library to external hard disk WITHOUT internet connection? My Windows Media Player asks me for an internet connection to do so. Can I do it without internet connection? If no, where are the songs currently present on my Windows Media Player's "All Music" list (not all the songs available/stored on my computer) supposed to be located (like C:\Program Files\XYZ or whatever so that I can go to that folder, and Ctrl+A/Select-All and Copy-Paste them to the external disk)? I gotta do it from my desktop and my OS is Windows XP. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  1. I don“t save anything in my WMP library, but those files should be in either your Media Player folder under C or in My documents/My Albums. You need to go to Explorer and highlight the files there. Then right click and use Copy and find your external Drive and Paste them there. If it works well you can delete them later on if you wish to.
