How to unblock someone on xbox live?

The person is not on my friends list and the funny thing about this story is that we both got mad and blocked each other but now we're cool and are having troubles unblocking each other. There's gotta be a way to do this guys. please help

1. Try unblocking them.
2. send each other a message or invite, when you send him something it'l unblock him from you, and when he sends you something it'l unblock you from him, that should work (although one of you might not receive the message or whatever ws sent if the other is still blocked)
3. Send them a message or friend request.
