What do I need for new born puppies?

My dog is going to have puppies soon & I am not too educated on what I need to have to help my dog give birth and what the new born pups will need. Please provide a list for me to read with helpful information.

  1. Do you realize that your dog and the puppies could die because you do not know what you are doing? I would make an appointment with your vet, pay for it, take a notebook along and write down what they tell you.I really don't think anyone here is going to help you because you are obviously not thinking clearly to be breeding a litter when you have no knowledge.
  2. *sighs* It never ends You do know how to use google don't you? You're going to need more than just the info. You're going to need luck, some prayers and a vet on your side http://vetmedicine.about.com/od/pregnancybirthindogs/Pregnancy_Birth_in_Dogs_whelping_and_breeding_information.htm http://www.k9web.com/dog-faqs/medical/whelping.html http://www.labbies.com/reproduction3.htm http://www.phi-vestavia.com/whelpingmanagement.htm http://www.hilltopanimalhospital.com/whelping1.htm We can provide you with every link in the world but if you lack common sense you, your bitch and her litter are SOL and in the case of the last two possibly DEAD
  3. Contact your vet, and either have the dog undergo an emergency spay, or get in touch with a breed rescue or other rescue who will help with this. The world does not need one more puppy that has no home waiting for it, being delivered by someone who just let their dog get pregnant... sigh... this is so much worse than you realize. You don't even know how these dogs are goingto arrive, much less how to raise them or where they are going? Please get her spayed.
  4. same as above, take her to a vet an let them help her give birth, they will need a cozy place to rest, maybe if you want to bottle feed them by getting some sort of milk from the pet store made just for animals,a dog bowl for water an one for food, collar if you like them to wear one once they are older, puppy food if desirable but also gonna need unless bottle feeding, towels to clean them off with once they come out but make sure to gently rub the goo off them or whatever that stuff is,flea spray for fleas that could bother them, medication in case they get sick, toys would be good for them so they can chew on them instead of your stuff, clothing would be cute on them for when they are a bit older,2 bowls one for water one for food
  5. Your vet should have provided you with a list of supplies at your bit**'s check up.
