what is a vulgar material desire?

im doing history home work :[ and its asking to list a vulgar material desire i have(of coarse it has to do with hinduism/buddhism and the middle path) im not really sure what a vulgar material desire is lol so if somebody can give me a couple of examples that would be awesome:]

1. I would define it as putting your want of stuff (that won't make you any better off (if your starving and you steal food ..that's a need and wouldn't count as vulgar) before say human suffering.
2. porn anything ostentatious and gaudy shows of materialism - big fast cars, yachts, mansions....
