Famous hotels at turn of the century?

I'm trying to list the most famous hotels in the world at the heighth of the British Empire about the turn of the century. On this list already is the Mena House in Giza, Shepherds in Cairo, The Pennisula in Hong Kong, Raffles in Singapore and the Oriental in Bangkok. Does anyone have any other ideas to add to this list?

1. Not for sure this is what you are looking for, but this is what I've found. Hotel Vancouver in Vancouver, BC; Hotel du Pantheon; Central St. Germain Hotel in Paris; Danubius Hotel in Budapest; Grand Londra Hotel in Istanbul; Hotel Santer in Vienna. Hope some of these help.
