I am interested in buying a used car (sedan shape) with less than 100,000 miles and that is from the year 2001 or later, and for less than $4400. After doing some research, I found that the cheapest car make that i can find that fits this criteria is a hyundai elantra (most of 2003 and 2004 with less that 100k miles have kelley blue book values around $4000), but i am afraid that since hyundai elantra's are not very common (there at least less common than nissans, toyotas and hondas) that it may cost more or may be more difficult to get them repaired. So, has anyone owned a hyundai elantra before, and what has been the experience when repairing them? (i don't mean major repairs like transmission and stuff, but things that you expect the car will need to have changed after awhile like brake pads, timing belts, etc) With the constraints that i have listed, what other car brand names and models would you recommend besides hyundai?(i don't mind driving automatic or manual transmission)
