List me some of the things the government do to keep unemployment low?

1. Nothing. Everything the government does makes it worse.
2. Greatly increase taxes on the billionaires and then use that money for public works programs rebuilding infrastucture.

4. Force interest rates lower to promote business growth. New business means jobs. Force interest rates lower to promote consumer spending. More spending means more demand which means more production which means more jobs. Provide tax breaks to manufacturers that do not have their facilities outside of the U.S.A. Tax breaks means lower cost of doing business which means lower retail prices which means more consumer spending which means higher demand which means more jobs. Impose confiscatory import tariffs. Import tariffs means more in-country manufacturing which means more domestic product which means more jobs.
5. There is only ONE thing the government CAN do - stop keeping it HIGH. Even Congressional Dmeocrats say that REQUIRES Democrat-proof government.
6. Follow the Plans President Obama has laid out. It will work.

9. Democrats use government spending programs which never work and Republicans use low taxes and getting the government out of the way which is far more likely to work
10. Build and improve public infrastructure (roads, bridges, buildings, etc). They invest a lot in it which gives lots of working places.

Since the government took on the role as educator, and society handed them the keys to it, it is their responsibility to educate the population up to and beyond whatever the technology of the time dictates. So far, they have failed miserably in doing so, evidenced by the fact unemployment among those with 4 year college degrees, is under 5%

Well at least jimmy carter had a brother that made beer, and he builds a nice rocking chair. Things at all levels of Government are f**ked up! Start at the top, work your way down, as I DON'T THINK it can be white washed again. Clean up mexican border,with force, bring all troops home,retaliate insurgency with neutron nukes.The world want what we have, and not have to work for it.
