In Assassins Creed Revelations, How do you promote more than 7 assassin recruits to Master?

There are 7 Dens and 7 recruits can be promoted to Den Master and eventually also becoming Master Assassins. What about the other 5 assassins on your list earning an unspoken amount of XP yet stuck at level 10?

  1. You can't. There can only be 7 master assassins, the rest have to stay at 10. But, those master assassins can't die no matter what.
  2. I am actually in the middle of the same thing. I have five master assassins, and two more that will reach that level. The other five are staying at level 10 and not ranking up to 11. It takes 3800 XP to rank to 11, and my guys are sitting with the bar full showing 8000+ XP. In hind sight, I wonder if it would have been better to not assign den leaders until the very end. The Master Assassin missions only come about when you've assigned a den leader. Since you don't have Master Missions to do, the game should let you continue to rank all of your Assassins as high as possible. **Update** I just found online that there is an Assassin's Guild challenge, where if you A.) recruit 12 assassins, B.) Train 7 of them to Master Assassin Status and C.) Perform 3 Den Defenses, it would unlock the Assassin Faction Weapon as a reward. Its possible that this challenge may have inadvertently disabled the ability to upgrade more than 7 assassins to Master Status. I submitted the inquiry to Ubisoft via their website, www.ubi.com.
  3. I've encountered the same situation. I have several level 10+ Assassins with XP above level 11. It'd be nice to improve these Assassins, but I figured out a trick to get by. Assign your level 10+ Assassins to your Mediterranean Defense Assassin dens. (click Med. Def., then highlight a city under Assassin control and press "square" PS3 or "X" 360) The first Assassin you assign to a city CAN NOT be sent on missions, but that's ok, your 10+ have nothing to gain and aren't as effective on missions as Master Assassins. Plus assigning them to Med. Def. cities frees up slots for new Assassin recruits, more dens in a city more Assassins to assign and recruit. This allows you to send new Assassin recruit(s) on missions with Master Assassins so they can gain more XP with greater success rate. You can assign a MA and NAR to a city, send them on a mission, this will free up two slots for new Assassin recruits and repeat. I try to assign Assassins to a city before sending them on a mission for more recruits. Also, to gain control and get rid of easy missions, I send 10+ Assassins, again they can't improve and I'd rather send aspiring Assassins on missions w/ MAs to build them up faster.
