What math classes do you take in high school?
Please list the course and which year I will be taking it. ex. biology in freshman year. Also what is the difference between Math level 1 and level 2? Do I need to take almost all the math classes in high school in order to take any math sat subject test?

- its like algebra geometry then algebra with trig and calculus in that order
- 9 math 1 10 math 2 11 math 3 12 math 4 THE END
- I take Algebra
- 9th grade MATH 10th grade MATH 11th grade MATH and HOLY SHIT A SENIOR TAKING MATH.
- I don't know what school you go to, so I can't tell you what you'll take. I took: Freshman: Algebra II (not that the "II" actually means anything) Sophmore: Geometry/Trig Junior: Pre-Calculus Senior: AP Calculus Protip: pre-calculus is harder than calculus, somehow
- I'm not sure how it works in your school since a lot of curriculum is different from state to state, and, not only that, but depending on your skill level it can be different for everybody. I started out with geometry my freshman year, but a lot of people were starting with principle of math, beginning algebra or algebra one.
- I am taking algebra 1 college prep and im a freshman.... I think the difference between math lv.1 and lv.2 is either that level 2 moves at a faster pace than level 1 or it is more advanced math
- I'm not in high school yet. Took Algerbra 1 in 7th grade and Spanish 1, and I'm taking Geometry 1, Spanish 2, and Biology 1 in 8th. And biology is science, not math. Am I the only one here who took Algerbra 1 in 7th? I didn't think it was all that rare.
- in my school we take this.. freshman year..pre algebra(slower class) or algebra1 sophmore year..geometry or topics in geometry(slower class) junior year...algebra 2 or topics in alegbra 2(slower classes) senior..its not requird but it some hard class cant remember the name
- normal Algebra I [Freshman] Geometry [Soph.] Algebra II [Junior] Pre Cal [Senior] "advanced"/special Algebra I [8th grade] Geometry [Fresh.] Algebra II [Soph.] Pre Cal [Junior] Calculus [Senior]
- For the normal student it's.... 9th - Algebra 1 10th - Geometry 11th - Algebra 2 12th - Trigonometry/Pre Calculus I don't know what math level 2 is but for advanced students if that's what level 2 is it's.... 9th - Geometry and Algebra 10th - Trigonometry and functions 11th - Pre Calc and some other advanced stuff 12th - Calc and AP Calc You should have to finish 4 years of math, so yes.
- I took-- Algebra 2 Honors in 9th grade. Geometry Honors in 10th grade. Precalc Honors in 11th grade. AP Calc BC in 12th grade.
- I am taking AP Calculus II (BC) right now as a senior in high school. You might not be taking the same course...it depends on people. The difference between Math level 1 and level 2 is just that level 1 teaches math, but it is easier. Level 2, as the name suggests, is harder. Also, at level 2, you are at a higher level of math. Other than that I do not know, because we don't have a course like that in my high school. And no, you don't have to take all the math classes to take the SAT Subject test. It would be advisable if you want to pass it with a good score. But you will know most of everything if you take math courses up till Pre-Calculus. High schools, in order to graduate, require only a set number of credits of Math. Sometimes, you get these credits in 8th grade itself. Sometimes, you have to do only 3 years of math in high school because you only need those many credits. It's your choice if you want to take more math classes. I took it because I like math.
