How to I customize my Tumblr page.?

I tried to look up how to do it myself but I can't. I went to the "theme" tab under "customize appearance" to look for the "Use Custom HTML" Button but there isn't one!!! all there is a list of "Premium themes" to choose from can some PLEASE!! HELP!! ME!!
