What are the first things I need to learn for piano?
I want to learn, and I have no money for a teacher. Could anyone list the first 5 things I need to learn in the beginning. Like learning the names of the keys, or how to read the grand staff, or scales, etc. Also, if you put scales in there, could you give me specific scales to practice? For now, I don't want to learn theory. I will do that later.

- Learn the names of the notes, then learn what makes up different keys(major, minor, blues, pentatonic, etc.). After that, you can figure out keys/scales. Also, you should learn how to read sheet music. That should be pretty high up on the list, though it'll take a while to get good at sight-reading.
- Try this: www.zebrakeys.com
- I would buy Alfred's Adult Piano book (it's $15 or so) but from there you can teach yourself practically. It walks you step-by-step. For now, focus on learning all the names of each note and reading music & knowing how many beats are in each note (very important).
- look up lypur on youtube he's great help
