My address book has been compromised, what do I do?

Someone sent an email from my address to all the recipients on my contact list. What do I do?

1. Your account has been hacked jane... change ur password asap....
2. 1. Scan and clean your computer of viruses. 2. Change your passwords 3. Nothing you can do. They already have the contact list.
3. It wasn't a "someone" it's a spyware. Clean your computer with this: http://www.malwarebytes.org/products/malwarebytes_free Afterwards, change your email password.
4. I would suggest you get a new email address right away. Only send to your most trusted contacts your new email address. Expalin to other one may have been compromised. It happens a lot- Review what Internet security you are using- Get a reputitible one- like Norton- Trend Micro- McAfee. Remove as many tool bars and apps from loading in your start up files.
