What can I do if my car isnt covered under Texas Lemon Law, yet my car brakes down?

Ive been leasing this car for 3 weeks and everything has gone wrong. Engine, battery, and ABS light have come on. A pully to my alternator belt broke. The wheel is impossible to turn. I mean the list goes on and on. I havent even made my first monthly payment yet, but they do have my down payment of $1100. Is there anyway I can get that money back? Repitable sources to your answers are greatly appreciated.

  1. You aren't leasing the vehicle, because if you were it would be brand new and under warranty. You are buying a used car, and the cost of repairs comes out of your pocket. You do not have the right to return the vehicle or demand your down payment back. You are on the hook for repaying your auto loan. You made a poor choice and now you get to live with it.
  2. Some places do lease used cars. Why they do is completely beyond me. If it's used, whether it is a lease or on payments, the repairs are up to you. If it's brand new there is a warranty and the dealership needs to repair it according to the warranty.
  3. let me guess
