Do you live in New York? ...or know New York City very well?

What are some of the most popular places in New York City? In example: Chelsea, Soho, Midtown, Murray Hill, etc... I'm trying to make a list of the most business-driven areas of NYC, can someone help me out? 5th Avenue... thanks, please let me know of any other areas If you could help me out with specifics from the 5 boroughs I'd appreciate it soooo much!

2. By New York City, do you mean the 5 boroughs, or just the city itself. If it's just the city itself, than almost every place is famous, greenwich, chinatown, etc.. (with the exception of the lower east side.. it's okay, but it's mostly projects) If you mean the 5 boroughs.. WOW.. I can give you a ton. But I won't unless you're talking about the 5 boroughs lol. It's going to take a while. Well I can talk about all the popular places in the 5 boroughs, but it would take alot more room than Yahoo Answers offers. Let's put it this way, EVERY place in NYC is known for something, from jamaica, to midtown, to park slope. I'll make a list of all the places that are known and what they're known for. I'll compose the list and post it soon. But if you want to know what places are the most business driven, just search for BID (Business Improvement Districts). Their is one in almost every neighborhood outside of Manhatten. That's the good thing about Urban areas, within every 5 block radius, you would find businesses. And within every 15 block radius, you would find large shopping complexes (not necessarily malls) I'll return..

If you mean Manhattan, you would be talking about Wall Street, Battery Park, Chelsea, Soho, East Village, West Village, Theater District, Harlem, Midtown... in the rest of the city, there is Grand Concourse, Throggs Neck, South Bronx, Sheepshead Bay, Canarsie, Woodside, Astoria, Sunnyside, Flushing, Jamaica, and much more...
