How can I advertise myself?

I make party favors (capias), cake-toppers, for parties and showers(bridal/baby) and I'm good at it! But I'm having a hard time advertising myself, I put a free ad on Craig's list in New York and so far nothing! I got business cards what should I do? Just for the record it's not a business I'm trying to start I just wanna make some extra money besides I enjoy making crafts and favors as a hobby. Any suggestions?

1. You can actually have your business spread all over the internet by looking up how-to get sidbar spaces and pop-ups. oh and you can also buy AD space practically anywhere
2. word of mouth. have your friends who have seen your stuff tell others~ maybe they know of some people who would want tat.
3. Try local art fairs, im sure u can rent a table and display what u have created. Make labels as well and flyers. I would also contact local bakeries. I agree with the girl above..word of mouth is the best way to advertise!!!! Always carry your business cards with u, as well as pictures of things u have created! good luck :)
4. make all of your crafts and take pictures and post it on myspace.
