Does anyone have a list of business metrics used in valuing the various sectors/industries of the stock market

I'm looking for the Wall Street standard valuation metrics by sector/industry. I.e. for retail, same-store-sales, or for hotels, average revenue per room, etc. I'm hoping an understanding of these will better help me make informed investment decisions. Responder "Jet" -- Is that particular Monday Biz section of the USA Today available online?
