How do find out what my business is worth?

i have a person the wants to buy into my company, and I need to figure out what my business is worth. we have been around for a year and we do about 65,000.00 a year and are so busy that we have a month long wait list. We are a marketing firm. And an amamizing client list. So I want to find out how much it worth so he can buy 40% of the company.

1. Wow, congratulations (exciting times!) I think those estimates are very subjective and depend a lot on how much you think your product is worth. You're a marketing firm for christs sake! Maybe you should take a look in those finance websites, but what I can recommend you really quick is to asses the following: 1. Calculate your assets 2. Calculate your liabilites 3. Make a comparison between how much you have and your forecast for the next periods (what's the next move?, who will be your next clients?)+ add how much you want in return. Maybe it makes sence, but think if you want to keep 40% and sell cheap how much will you have in return? Let me know if you're interested in hiring... and good luck!
