- 1. Joe Louis-looking at his hand speed, power, ability to cut off a ring, and finish off an opponent I rank him first. 2. Muhammad Ali-hand speed and foot speed no one compares to him. If he had more power he would be number one no contest. 3. Rocky Marciano-stamina no comparison, great power, non stop fighter. 4. Larry Holmes-great jab, learned from one of the best-Ali 5. George Foreman-great power which he always had, had better stamina his second time around. Had his mind and body been together the first time around the Ali fight would have turned out differently. 6. Jack Johnson-great defensive fighter, very close to the ability of an Ali but I don't think he was as fast as Ali. 7. Joe Frazier-he beat Ali. Great left hook. Heart of what he was --the champ. 8. Gene Tunney-beat Dempsey twice. Great boxer. 9. Jack Dempsey-hard puncher, non stop fighter 10. Evander Holyfield-greatest heart of any heavyweight. May be too great as he doesn't know when to quit. I most certainly missed this. My top ten boxers: 1. Ray Robinson 2. Henry Armstrong 3. Harry Greb 4. Muhammad Ali 5. Willie Pep 6. Joe Louis 7. Roberto Duran 8. Julio Cesar Chavez 9. Stan Ketchel 10. Archie Moore Thanks crimfury
- Gman...I don't know if you just missed the question or if you just picked your top 10 heavyweights; I can't understand how you can have a list WITHOUT Sugar Ray Robinson (who I believe to be the greatest, hands down). And as far as heavyweights, no Mike Tyson?? In his prime, I believe he would have beat most of the fighters on your list.
