1. You can get into the top 10 for free, but you'll have to do a lot of optimization if you want to be in the top 10 for a popular keyword. Make sure you use your keywords in the page, in the meta tags and the title if possible. For the most part, web rankings are determined by the number of links to your site, especially from other well ranked sites. If the links to your site include the keyword, that's a definite plus. Once your website is complete, you can submit it to the major directories to help search engines find your website and rank it higher.
