How much would you pay for postcards you purchase online?

I'm starting my own online business, a postcard website. I've been told that my photography is excellent, so I'll see if I can make a business out of it. But anyways, How much would you pay for say a postcard, an image of Paris, say, that's top notch? How much would you pay for one, for five, for ten? I've currently set prices at $0.75 each, three at $3.00. For a regular sized postcard/photo. Excellent quality, colours, and photography. Thanks y'all. I meant five for $3, not three for $3. =)

  1. lower the price to 50 cents each and 8 for 3 bucks.
  2. $000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000.000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001
  3. Post Cards is a difficult realm in an already competitive business. There are some BIG print houses that specialize in postcards so your best bet is to find a niche market or capitalize on local markets. Someone from Arkansas is unlikely to buy postcards online of a Montana scene so if you plan to market them on the web there needs to be something to draw customers. You'll need to order in large enough quantities to keep the per card cost minimum, most print shops have a set up fee that is spread through the number of cards...and then you have to move them...how do you plan to market and distribute etc...net only or through local stores? chain stores? Businesses? Prices vary wildly on postcards in the marketplace, retailing from as little as 10 cents to more than a dollar depending on size and desireability and quality. Do some pavement pounding and find out what your competition is. That will be key to setting your prices. You might even make some contacts while you are doing this. Be as creative in the business side of things as you are with your camera!
  4. I think that is a good price. I would not expect you to make a lot from it but you never know. It would have to be an enjoyable hobby to continue. That's what makes the difference - something you enjoy. I would give plenty of options for payment. Paypal, credit cards, and other options are a plus. Perhaps it could branch out to more than postcards - posters, calenders, and other miscellaneous.
