Tell me what the best computer(desk top), for the $$ to edit and store photos, run small Internet business?

What maker and model #, MB or GB? I heard 2 GB is best for photo storage. I want ease of use and quickness for Internet. I don't play much games but I might in future. I would like a package deal (tower, keyboard, monitor) since my current computer is 10 years old--COMPAQ. I use a Dell laptop for current job, but they seem pretty pricey. I just got an HP scanner/copier/printer all in one and have been pricing HP computers but all the model #'s are confusing me. I try to compare from store to store, but all the model #'s are different. HELPPPP!

  1. i love my DELL
  2. as far as the 2 GB comment - youre confusing RAM and storage 2 Gigs of RAM, (or memory) is speed-related (more is better) when someone refers to hard drive (like 200 Gigs) they are talking about how much you can store. (amount of space) 2 Gigs of RAM will be great regardless of what youre doing with the comp. If you think Dells are pricey then you need to re-thimnk things. Dell cost a little more because they are a little better than HP and Compcrap. HP and Comp-crap are the worst there is (with the exception of e-machines which are absolutely pathetic) - Dells are a little better than those . Then Alienware , then Voodoo PC, and then finally Falcon NorthWest being the best you can buy. You get what you pay for , if you want the most bang for your buck, build your own - its easy and you can pick what you want and dont have to pay for crap you dont want. Its really the best way to go . If you want quality, forget about the cheap crap - and forget about HP, Compaq (Compcrap) and e-machines. Dell is the best of the junk.... (remember: If you pay $10.00 for a haircut....YOU GET A $10.00 HAIRCUT)
