I have been offered a job on the Internet,how do i find out if this is a legitimate business?

the business is out of England,They send me travelers checks to deposit. I keep 10% and send them the rest. I dont think they want it back in cash.the way I read it,They want for me top deposit intoan account and I keep 10%
