Can anyone suggest a good free service for creating mailing lists?

I would like to create a weekly newsletter for people to subscribe to on my website, I was wondering if anyone knows of some free services that will help me create and manage this? I'm a bit of a beginner, so simple is probably better at this time...thanks :-) I have a website, I want to create a newsletter that people can sign up to and receive weekly from me, with an auto responder etc. Does anyone know of any reputable free services for that?
