is there a way to get my name/address removed from direct marketing mailing lists?

really tired of recieving solicitations for credit cards and mail order catalogs that i havent requested - any suggestions are greatly appreciated

1. you can go to the post office and ask them for a form to fill in so they won,t send you junk mail
2. yes, the do not call list.https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx Here is the website to register, it helps alot!
3. You have to send a request to each individual one. I know it's daunting but go figure right?
