whats the best source of address data for direct marketing?

need to do a very localized direct marketing (mail) campaign and am looking for the best way to fill up my list with address within say 5 sq miles or a given target city. automated methods preferred..

This would allow you to receive the lowest possible postage rate. (provided you have access to a local bulk permit number) In return all I ask is that you drop me a line regtarding the results of your campaign.
