How would I find lists of potential business partners?

I want to start a business, but would like to go into one with a parnter. Is there a trade magazine or some place where I would go to find such information? Thank you kindly in advance. MD

1. Contact the trade association most closely related to the type of business you want to go into. Go to meetings, network with people and put the word around that you are looking for a partner with certain qualities. Before going into business with someone, remember that there are no right deal terms with the wrong partner, and there is no such thing as the wrong deal with the right partner...because with the right partner, you can work out the innevitable problems.
