2. If you remember entering this contest then congrats! You are a winner. My opinion is it is a fraud. Don't fall for it. In fact if I was you I would take the letter to my local post office and have it checked out. Sounds like a scam to me.
3. This is a fraud. Block this address from sending you any further mail, and report it promptly to the US Secret Service and/or FBI. They investigate cases of wire fraud. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you send them any money. There are NO legitimate lotteries where you are expected to pay taxes, costs, fees, etc up front.
4. This is a scam known as Phishing. I responded once, and rather than answering my questions regarding sponsorship, entrance regulations (How do they know You are of legal age to MAKE financial decisions for yourself? LOTS of kids have email accounts now...), etc... (which is usually required by LAW to be supplied on request) they were much more concerend with ME telling them private information. When I made it clear I would NOT answer thier questions until they answered mine, they quit responding to me. "You are to contact the courier at once with your full name, phone numbers and address on the requirements to sending your check to you." -- Most likely they will also ask for ID numbers (like Social Security or drivers license) and/or Credit Card numbers for "verification purposes". They may even suggest that a direct deposit would be faster & ask for your Bank Account info. Hard to believe the "Head Accounting Office" of an INTERNALTIONAL COURIER SERVICE uses a FREE Yahoo e-mail account. Wouldn't they have thier own mail server?!? If You want proof it's a scam, and the "Scarlet Courier LTD" IS legitimate as you say, then get thier number form a public source (NOT the contact in the e-mail) and call them direct. Ask if "Steve Adams" even works there, and if the "British Global Lottery" is one of thier clients. Remember - "If It sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't."
