Could use some ideas?

I'm working on an open blog/forum site, but I would like to add one more "big" feature to it. Maybe photo sharing, ability to upload videos.. whatever. Basically I'm looking for ideas that people will find appealing on top of the blogging. Any suggestions? I know the homepage needs work too.. not anywhere near done with it! Thanks! site is: http://www.todaysvoices.com penny - do you mean allow people to IM anyone else that uses it? And the thing with posting videos is I'm just afraid of all the copyright issues.

1. try allowing others to IM you from your home page
2. Why don't you invite people to post short videos with their opinions on a topic you choose once a week,and have everybody vote on their favorite.You could then post the winners to a 'best of" section.
