Is this worth the $$$?

I am a Photographer in the Navy, and having AWESOME photos of my wedding day are TOP priority! We are having a country-Western wedding and there aren't too many venues for that in FL (go figure). My fiance is from WV but not much luck there either. So, I looked into Tennessee, because I went there several times when I was younger and remember how GORGEOUS it was! Anywho, I came across this site and was SOLD! Until I saw the price. After some thought I felt it was fairly reasonable though. The sad thing is that his Uncle is a professional Photographer and he was going to do it for free!!!! This place is GORGEOUS though, and I could get photos with horses as well, which is important to me. As a photographer I am so picky and think this place would be GREAT! Tell me what you think. Go to On-site photography and check out the photos and wedding package. Prices are at the bottom of page on the Blog site under pricing and info. (6 hours is what I'd want). http://www.honeysucklehills.com/ (Sorry, I know I wrote a book on here!!!) At the bottom of page there is a link to a blog-site. The pricing and information is on the right under pricing and information. It is $3495.00 for 6 hours. Please see the site and what is included before responding. Thank you! To Hiedi R; We're choosing the location because it fits the theme of our dream wedding....I love Tennessee, and told me sister when we visited there (at the age of 16) that that's where I wanted to get married. We are in the Navy, and travel a lot. We left our home states for change.....thanks anyway. I am from Tampa, Fl. He is from Romney, WV. Yes, there are places in FL but I have looked into EVEY one and they are lacking in some way. Either no alcohol is allowed, you can't bring outside catering, you have to have thier liscensed bartenders do your wedding, there's not adequate spacing in the right areas, etc.

  1. The location is beautiful, but I couldn't find anything on fees. It says you must contact someone named Regina for that. EDIT: That is quite a bit, nearly matching my wedding budget in fact. The question is, does it fit in your budget? If not, research alternatives. Which part of WV is your fiance' from? I am from WV, and there are plenty of beautiful locations.
  2. Wedding photography can be expensive since typically the photographer(s) will spend the day, all day, shooting. Then there's lots of work to be done after the wedding. Getting other people to give opinions may be helpful, but, it will be their opinion and not necessarily the truth. Plus, we all have our own ideas of what is considered expensive or attractive, right? Here is an article on how to hire a wedding photographer: http://www.topweddingsites.com/wedding-photo.html
  3. That place looks beautiful, but let me get this straight... you're choosing your wedding location based not on where or your fiance live or are originally from, but on what would make for nice pictures?
  4. I think it's a fair price for both a venue and a photographer. I'm in Los Angeles and that price would cover the rent of a venue and nothing much more.
  5. Actually, there are plenty of places that would fit your theme in Florida. Have you checked with any of the horse farms in Ocala? My parents live there so I can say that some of the farms are absolutely stunning. I only offer this as a suggestion for a different venue. You may be able to get a better package deal. But if your heart is set on Tennessee and it's in your budget, go for it. This is a once in a lifetime event and you can only do it once.
  6. if you have the money and it fits your budget and your both happpy .go for it!!
  7. I think it is beautiful! Go for it! I am with on the photo thing.
  8. There are plenty of venues for that in Florida. What city?
