Should i get a macbook pro even if i dont do any multimedia stuff?
I just need a good laptop for homework and a little bit of gaming like crysis. online sites told me macs are only good at multimedia and its one of the top computers in pcmag. I dont do any multimedia other than downloading songs, thats about it. I dont store photos, movies, or even edit them cuz its boring and pointless. so for me ilife is gonna be useless program for me if i get mac. but i want one cuz it says its good. my parents told me i can get a laptop up to $3000. please help, i just want a nice laptop that can play crysis (low setting is good enough), oblivion, homework, surfing web, and general stuff. If u can list other laptop alternatives pls list em! plz help, im only 16 and hardly no anything about computers other than good graphics card is needed to play games. also i dont mind if its vista cuz my hp desktop has vista and it runs fine on crysis and obvilion and office 2007 works fine on it.

- woah, if you have a budget of $3000 and you want a gaming laptop, have you considered about alienware? http://www.alienware.com/Configurator_Pages/area-51_m15x_ai1.aspx?SysCode=PC-LT-AREA51M15X-AI1&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT
- uh games are graphic intensive with sound am I right on that? that is multimedia get a macbook pro, when you go off to collage, it will be able to record lectures and type them into documents, if you like speech recognition is so much fun 'vickie my command word' will tell time and tell jokes, knock knock jokes they are second grade level, but hey 'vivkie' is a computer telling jokes you will discover things to do, like plugin a tv tuner and catch your shows
- No, you should not get a Mac. You don't care about any of the stuff Macs are good at, so you'd be paying too much for stuff you don't want. Since you want a gaming system, and your budget allows for it, you'd be much better off with an Alienware or Dell XPS system.
