Problems with Next internet and telephone wedding list?

Anyone else having this problem? When you order a gift off the Next wedding list, there is no longer the option to have it sent to the delivery address, due to the Data Protection Act (acording to Next). It now has to go to the guest's address. This was not explained before the list was compiled. 300 invitations have been sent to guests and we are just finding out that Next will not deliver to the Bride & Groom's address. The wedding is 5 weeks away, so unless we contact each guest to advise them, they have to bring the gift themselves, unless of course they are not coming to the wedding! What a company. Debenhams , although not divulging the delivery address, automatically deliver to the Bride and Groom

1. this is wierd - since u can send flowers, present, just about anything from ebay to anyone as long as you pay
2. surely it doesn't matter to them where it all gets delivered? how strange, what if the guests put the bride and grooms address down as their own address? Then when the goods have been send they can contact them and tell them they have changed address so the bills will go to the right place, seems a bit of a kerfuffle but it could be one way around it
