What is your highest priority on your wedding list?

PS: Oh Dustin, lighten up! I am talking about the tangibles here. If people stop over analyzing, people would be a lot happier.

  1. Bridal gown Wedding Rings Wedding cake wedding invitation Wedding favors ღღღ
  2. figuring out a date and finding a place and booking it.
  3. scheduling of the event.
  4. My dress. I said in the beginning that I didn't care how much I payed, it just had to be the dress of my dreams. I ended up paying $1500.
  5. The cake. I plan to go to the courthouse to be married, I don't care where the rings come from, I don't really want a honeymoon, but I'm gonna have a humongous cake! And I want to give little boxes of it to all my friends and fam.
  6. Sincerity and Commitment......Whatever happened to the actual wedding that is taking place? Everyone is so worried about the gown, the cake!?, and everything else that doesn't really matter. If people put that much effort in making the actual marriage work, the divorce rate would go down!
  7. showing up to the ceremony
  8. right now? its the reception venue the one we had decided on, and provisionally booked, we found out when we went to pay the holding fee that the other manager had booked someone else on the same date without putting it in the diary... so we're back to square 2... (church is already sorted) so it goes... reception venue dress suits food cars does anyone else think this wedding thing is one of the most stressful things EVER... even buyin a house didnt get me this much!
  9. Number 1 - Keeping the costs within budget! Followed closely by the following; Reception Venue & Food Wedding Dress Guest List Wedding Flowers Reception DJ & activities Transport on the day Accommodation for the night of the wedding Bridesmaid outfits ... & so on...
  10. Other than the groom, I would say the quality of the food. I have been having terrible nightmares that people start eating and then spitting out their food because it tastes horrible....LOL even though we have taste tested all that will be served. Edit: To Dustin: She asked about the WEDDING not the MARRIAGE
  11. After having the right guy to marry ... it would be ensuring our guests have a good experience - after all this is the first party and probably biggest party we are throwing as husband & wife.
  12. Finding the venue and setting the date!
  13. That the groom, officiant and I are all there. The rest of it is just a party (a fancy, expensive party, but a party nonetheless). As long as we're married by the end of the day, I'll call it a success. But, given that the three of us are at the appointed place at the appointed time, the next priority for me is good food and quality liquor, a fun DJ, a good photographer. I don't care much about the flowers, decorations, favors. My dress is not a huge deal to me, nor do I much care what other people choose to wear (the MOH got to choose her own dress, style and color). It's really important to us for people to have fun at our wedding, so it is to that end that we have planned.
  14. Mine was the flowers.. I really wanted to have lilacs sadly though.. they are bloooming now and won't be in 11 days.. :( As well Holland has been dry and now we can't have them imported from there
  15. Other than marrying the groom... Photography (as a photographer myself I pride myself with good photography aka I'm picky! LoL) Venue...a good scenic ceremony venue and a good reception venue. Everything else after that I'm not too worried about.
  16. Planning my wedding: booked church first bridal dress reception flowers rings cake dj
  17. Right now... make up. I have everything else ready to go.
  18. The venue was most important to me. We are have the ceremony and reception at the same place so it HAD to be the place I wanted, but it has been officially booked so I can move on to the lesser things now.
  19. me, the groom, and the preacher at the same time and place to have the ceremony.
  20. I only have two real must haves 1 my guy is happy 'i've caved like a deck of cards on every little thing he wants from his 800 dollar outfit to the church he wants' the second is one i won't fold on for anything prayers and a reilgous wedding
